Being a self-published author I'm learning so much about marketing and finding that I'm quite good at a lot of it. Still, it's a job in itself and have made several costly errors - the only way to learn, right? I like the education though.

Good Reads Good Witches

The Skye in June is a well sought after book on www.Goodreads.com  give-away-a-book contest, which ends January 17th. This is a wonderful site for those of us who love to read books and share them with others. Lots of reviews and groups. The magic in Skye's story continues to swirl around reaching far to many countries ~ India the latest home for a copy of Skye - me thinkiih it was the spell brewed by a sister witch this past Samhain. A lot of fun brewing up a potion ofherbs mixed with...

2010 Predictions

Stirring up the waters of my cauldron I see images forming:

For goal setting and dream weaving, here are a few of my insights for 2010 for the astrological signs although I am not an astrologer.  In the Chinese astrology it is considered a Mental Tiger year starting February 2010.

2010 will be a mentally active year full of ideas but not necessarily with ending results. Don't fret if your ideas seem to be put on hold or not yielding what you thought they would. 2010 is a...

New Year's Candle Lighting Ritual

I do a candle lighting ritual on New Year's Eve (also can be done on New Year's Day). The ritual follows a process of releasing the passing year (see blog below) by writing lists: a
thank you to my patron goddess, Juno, for the blessings received; to releas the passing year's lost battles and disappointments; and lessons learned through these experiences. I then burn blessings first and then releasing in my cauldron. Lessons'
list is kept in my book of shadows as a reminder in the coming...

Blue Moon Reflections

 Images goodknews.wordpress.com
Clarity of goals and wishes can help to manifest a successful
result. Start with my guided meditation in meditation room.

A Blue Moon will grace the skies this
New Year's Eve throughout many places on planet earth.  The moon really won't turn blue,
(although on rare occasions it has taken on a blue hue), it's a figure of
speech.  The more popular meaning of
a blue moon is not very often since a second-full-Moon-in-a-month rarely occurs. In fact the last
New...

Winter Solstice Festival of Light

Images  Winter
Solstice begins Monday, December 21 at 9:47 a.m. PST.  Winter Solstice occurs when, in the
Northern hemisphere, the Earth's tilts and leans the farthest away from the Sun
and is the shortest day of the year. From ancient times, worldwide and in all
cultures, this day has been celebrated as a turning point—a point of change
from increasing and lengthening darkness to increasing and lengthening light.
In many cultures Winter Solstice was celebrated as the birthday of the Sun.
People...

BOOK CLUBS - WITCHES WELCOME

The Skye in June  has an overwhelming five star reviews from readers and author is seeking bookclubs to read and review the  novel. Bookcover

Please contact me here or through www.juneahern.com.

Two people within two hours recommended the book, "Lace Reader" to me today. They, having read my book, said my story and had the same flavor. They also know that I am a psychic reader and both books include that.  I researched it to find that like me, the author, Brunonia Barry, was a first time novel writer...

Heartland Welcomes Skye

Illinois October Book Tour continues.( See "Chi-Town" book
event below.)

By early afternoon Sheree and I , once again hit the road, for the next Skye  book event. Bracing against Chicago's chill wind we made our way to the train station, suitcases rolling along
behind. I like train rides with the changing scenery and stops along the way. Traveling south from Chicago a the small town of Joliet I searched the station for suspicious characters; it being a prison point. No one worth...
