Springtime Visions

Fire  Like my main character in my novelI too have visions. Although I'm not an astrologer, I stirred up the waters of my cauldron and saw images collecting for springtime of  the twelve astrological signs as appears in Coffee Time Magazine Greek/English Corfu, Greece

Aries – One more time, for dramatics, ram those horns against
the door of changes and adventures.
Are you forcing results or others to perform to your will?  If doors aren't opening, back off to re-think
your approach.  Make no...

The Dare to be Different

I won an award today! It was the Beautiful Blogger Award. Awarded to me by  Big Girl Bombshel l (a blog to read.) BGB deemed me "The Dare to be Different Bombshell" Dark_woman_sky_diving_binder-p127121577683424704f2vmk_400

Daring to be different isn't as snappy sassy as it sounds. it can be - is often - a very difficult choice. The key I found is to collect people who support your daring. Your collection need not be of your flock but birds of different feathers. In fact, I don't surround myself with a bunch of witches or pagans nor psychics...

Friendships That Last Forever

I have a couple of friends since grammar school that I still keep in touch with. There's been years when we didn't see each other, all going in different directions with new people. Eventually we hooked back up.

One of those friends is Stephanie Teel. Steph:june

We met in first grade at Most Holy Redeemer Grammar school in San Francisco's Eureka Valley (now known as "The Castro."

The greatest part of being her friend is, she accepts me and I accept her. Me being a witch was a good laugh for her, but...

Religion & Psychic Readers

IIt has been my experience that the majority of Western religions do not view reader/readings positively.  I personally have often encountered controversy regarding my psychic philosophy and work. It is not my purpose to condemn religions or sway anyone's opinion or change religious beliefs but rather to share my experiences as a reader.

 .Hierophant-tarot-cardExperience
has taught me that readings need not be, or are, in competition with any
religious philosophy. Images-1  A spiritual and ethical reader presents...

Is She a Psychic?

Life as a psychic reader is not
easy at times.  To begin with, some
folks have the impression that it's an odd profession. Even my mother would
say, "What do you mean you're going to work? That's not a real job." Some think
a reader is a con or phony saying there's no such thing as a person who can
know personal information about another without prior knowledge. People think
it's perfectly okay to openly make fun of you in social gatherings while you
standing right there within earshot...

Caught Without A Good Read

Today waiting for my mother at her doctor, I was caught without a book. Sure there were magazines and newspapers, but I have three books - good ones too! - that I'm reading. I yearned to know what my "friends" (in my books) were thinking, feeling, doing...all awaiting my attention. Commissario Guido Brunetti (Dressed for Death) had just learned some vital juicy piece of information over penne rigate with a touch of pepperoncino about the transvestitie whore murdered with red heels. My imagination wandered away from murder to a scary story in progress. Kinky had her listeners perched on the edge of their seats, the wee dear Irish kids, waiting to hear if the "Shee" would indeed come after Connor (An Irish Country Girl by Patrick Taylor - my goodreads win.) Connor did seem the kind of man that wouldn't be scared away by an old Irish superstitious folklore. I think. Sharply in my mind's eye came the cover of the "The Oulander", Gil Adamson. The snow, deep and plenty and the young woman trudging through it - I really tried not to start for afterall two books are reads enough - but with that opening - "It was night, and dogs came through the trees, unleashed and howling." I mean, wouldn't you want to know what or who they were after? Alas there I was without my friends -- my books! A lesson learned, don't leave home without a book. The wait was long and boring.

I love animals, big and small. Now I have only one cat at home and my horse is 10 minutes from my house. But then there's my petsitter. Animals love her and she captures their true spirits in words and photos like the true artist she is. Sharing her... http://rose-strewn-path.blogspot.com/

She Said, So Then She Said

Writing the words of my characters became more than looking for ways to move the story along or give readers important information. It became a special time to spend with my The Skye in June family. Listening, not disturbing the rumbling of family discord or sisters hashing out problems. I voiced my concerns: How would Mary, express her anger at her father for teasing and labeling her as a boy? Could Annie find the words, smiling through her tears, to keep encouraging her little sisters to be happy and safe? Back and forth I spoke their words, Mary to Annie, Annie to Maggie and all to June, the youngest. Jimmy, the father bellowed at his kids and fearful Cathy, the mother, guilty for not speaking up for her children to her abusive husband. I had to know how Cathy felt so I rummaged through my life experiences and observations - delving into Cathy's psyche to express her, once upon a time hopes and dreams soured with life's disappointments. No matter what, the MacDonalds were a loyal Scottish family. But would my readers believe that through all their anger, secrets, tears and lies? At least they'd get a good laugh, I giggled, tapping away at the keys, sharing the girls' sassy comments and exposing their crazy plan - "We could kill him," one sister says of Jimmy. But which would say that?

I Put a Spell on You.

Do spells put on others really work? Yes.

For optimal results it's best for recipients to be
notified, 'a spell's been cast in your names.' A controlling (and not very nice in my books) spell caster would certainly, in some way, let the intended know she or he is on the brink of destruction because it makes his/her job easier as the intended fearfully makes hasty unwise decisions and actions. Imagine your logical, practical attitude being seduce to
irrational fear knowing that someone  ...
