J.R. SHARP AT BIRD KEY YACHT CLUB SARASOTA, FLORIDA

Folks, I can’t tell you how much fun I had on Sunday, February 25, 2018. The emotions of this crowd were amazing. In addition to my mother’s story (Feeding the Enemy) , I heard a dozen other actual holocaust survivor stories. All the folks in Sarasota are very pleasant, accomplished, and down to earth. Please visit their website at Bird Key http://www.birdkeyyc.com/ . I would go back tomorrow if they ask me to drive down. Off to next lecture or book festival.

J.R. SHARP APPEARS AT AMELIA ISLAND BOOK FESTIVAL

This year was the best one so far. There were so many authors this year, plus Lee Child show up to sign some of his Jack Reacher books. There were more visitors this year than the past years which helped the local authors sell their books. The volunteers were amazing as well. See you next year!!

J.R. SHARP AT WEST NASSAU HIGH SCHOOL

As part of the Amelia Island Book Festival Authors for Literacy program, I was invited to do three lectures at the High School. What a great time! Hands down the best students so far! Plus, they read “Feeding the Enemy” before the lecture, so the questions were outstanding.

FEEDING THE ENEMY AT BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB

Had a great time at the B&G club. We did three lectures each and the children really supported the Amelia Island Book Festival. Here are some pictures of the event and the other authors who gave lectures were: Jennifer Armentrout, Kentrall Martin, and Laura Duksta.

LEONARD RIGGIO THANK YOU LETTER

Folks,

I have to say that my trip to NYC in October was one of the most exciting events, Italian-American Author march, that I have been a part of in my entire life. The whole parade experience was amazing, plus the folks in NYC were so wonderful. My Italian-American heritage is one of my most important topics that I share with just about everyone. Please click on the below link to read the letter and see all the pictures of this great event.

J.R. SHARP SPEAKS AT THE AMELIA ISLAND GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY

I had the most wonderful time at the Amelia Island Genealogical Society speaker event. Over 33 people showed up and what a great crowd. Even after the speaking event there were loads of questions and answers. One of the best events ever and more to come. Follow the link for more information on this great turnout.

Please join us for our next AIGS Monthly Meeting     Tuesday, January 15, 2018, at 7:00 PM Community Meeting Room, Fernandina Beach Library 25 North 4th St, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034

Speaker:

J. R. Sharp

“Feeding the Enemy” is based on the true story of an Italian family’s determination to survive in the face of evil during World War II. It is a story of perseverance, ingenuity and love. This book captures the spirit of survivability against all odds and provides the reader with an appreciation of what Europeans went through during the war to end all wars.
