BREAKING FROM THE ENEMY UPDATE

Folks,

I hope you have been enjoying your summer so far. We have been busy here at the J.R. Sharp camp. My publisher has my first edit cut on my new book “Breaking from the Enemy.” That only leaves two more edits and hopefully we can get the book out in early October. Still designing the cover and other odds and ends. If you have any questions, just shoot me an email. Here is a small taste:

“When Gino makes his move to escape, his enemies pick up his trail as he heads south to the ancient city of Monte Cassino. After arriving, a catholic nun turned Italian partisan, Caroline Franco, takes him through the ancient trails of the Latin Valley to escape his pursuers. Will they be able to get past all the Nazi road blocks, or will they be caught before they escape to the north and finally become free and reunited with their families?”

MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY

Folks,

I usually only posts important messages about my books and events on my website, however Monday’s brick laying ceremony for two of my MOAA member’s passing really brought home the importance of service to this great nation of ours. West and Charlie were great friends of mine and more importantly, American hero’s for serving their country for so many years. Please take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices that all of our brave men and women of the Armed Services and First Responders make each and everyday that you are free.

AUTHORS FOR AUTHORS CONFERENCE WRAP UP

What a wonderful time in Melbourne, Florida. My lecture on “The Dos and Don’ts of Advertising your book” was a big hit with all the authors that attended. Meeting all the authors in the area was wonderful. New friends, new ideas and an excellent dinner, it doesn’t get any better than that from a conference. Folks,

It was pleasure to give my family’s history lecture at the Greenwood High School. The students were so involved with the story that they answered all of my questions without hesitation. This weekend I was at the Jacksonville Book Festival. Big crowds and a lot of book lovers. This was the second year and this festival is only going to get bigger. See you next year.
