Not quite dead yet

I made it to the end of the re-write and Konrad received a new end to his first book, and he seemed pretty pleased with it, too. It turned out pretty much the way I had envisioned it, and I'm slowly reading through the entire re-write now to polish it for the betareaders.
Then I wasted an entire Sunday trying to master a video editing program and scoured the interwebz for classical paintings in the public domain, because I woke up with an idea for a booktrailer and couldn't shake it, even...

More words and more konflict might make Konrad a dead Dodo

I'm almost at the end now, but can no longer see the light at the end of the tunnel. Last night I dove into the most dramatic scene of the Konrad-book and I added so much drama that I was in tears by the end. Perhaps I have made it too intense for the intended age group? I hope not. It was getting very personal, but I think I managed to make it not all about me, at least I hope so. Time will tell.

3 000 new words and an older sister is born

I don't have much time for writing at the moment since work is competing with this year's flu that is particularly nasty and has hit my youngest pretty hard. He is even too sick to be on the computer, so perhaps I ought to call an ambulance right away ... But I do manage a couple of minutes here and there and those minutes have added up to 3 000 new words since I last blogged. I had to double check that figure, since it feels like I've cut more than I've added, but it appears that I've manage...
