A second attempt at a summer vacation
This is the second week of my summer vacation and this week I've decided to not work in an attempt to slow things a bit. So far, it doesn't seem to have made much of a difference. There is so much that I've put off because I've been busy with work, and now that I can't use this excuse, suddenly there are a million things on my Todo-list. Perhaps I should just go back to work ... It would be a lot less hassle.

Work on Konrad 2 has begun and I've found Lee!
The Giveaway on Goodreads is live and ticking. At the moment I'm writing this, there are more than 300 participants and many of them have added little Konrad to their TBR book piles. If they look anything like my skyscraper, it will be a while before they get to him! But still, I'm blown away by the number of people who have shown an interest. Global distribution!
Ok, the hardback edition is live and starting to trickle out through the distribution system. This morning I checked the Swedish site Adlibris and there is was! Mighty cool, I have to say.
The different editions haven't merged yet on Amazon, but I expect they will over the next few days. It took a while for the paperback and the ebook to find one another as well.
I've scheduled a Giveaway on Goodreads, open to all the countries in their list, including some that I've not even heard of. It'll go...

Konrad in hardback!
And we have a hardback edition! The proofs arrived yesterday and I only need to tweak the cover slightly (the stitches are too close to the edge), which I did this morning, so now I'm just waiting for the Ingram Spark inspectors to inspect the new files and then I'm going to click the ENABLE FOR DISTRIBUTION button and that will be that.
I have to say, I was thrilled to see the Createspace paperback, but this is an actual book! And Ingram Spark managed to get the colors right, which was imposs...

Summertime and the livin' ain't easy ...
School is out for summer but I still have tons of work to do. That means that the next couple of months will be spent juggling the mom thing and the work thing and the writing thing (and many other big and small things). I'm not a very good juggler, unfortunately. I wish I could do lots of things at once, but when I try, nothing good comes of it. So I'll have to cut back on my ambitions and aspirations. I won't be able to do all the things I would like to do.

Proof! But of what ...?
My first proof copy of Konrad and the Birthday Painting arrived this morning (the paperback from Createspace)! Estimated delivery time was approx. six weeks and it arrived after only a few days. I think I ordered this copy on Thursday and yesterday was a holiday here in Sweden so I'm mightily impressed! Someone must have put my book in the wrong pile somewhere, but I'm not complaining.
I have to admit that I tore open the cardboard wrapper right there outside the DHL service point and the feel...

Print editions ordered!
Not getting enough sleep at night is a sure-fire way to guarantee that everything you do is riddled with mistakes. So perhaps it was not a good thing that I chose this day to finish off my print books and upload them to the POD company. But I did it anyway.
