Trish Butler is the author of the Historical Fiction saga, Redway Acres, and now a new contemporary detective series based in the fictional New Jersey town of Rockmond.

Born in Norwich, in the county of Norfolk, England, Trish moved to Connecticut in the US, in 1999. Her daughter was born there two years later.

Currently, she works as Communications Director for the Connecticut Family Support Network (CTFSN) a non-profit organization that helps families with children with special needs. Trish’s own daughter is on the autism spectrum.

Redway Acres, which Trish calls Pride & Prejudice with horses and a healthy dollop of feminism, is set during the early 1800s in Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, UK, an area that she knows well. Over the

Firstly, I'm wondering if I would have to stay there? I'd rather not go if that's the case as I am a home body and love my creature comforts.
Secondly, assuming I don't have to stay, can I selfishly pick Redway Acres? I would love to see if my own creation stood up to reality, and of course I would love the characters to be in residence! If they are, then Helena could help me learn to ride. All my horse stuff is from my imagination, my daughter's experience with therapeutic riding and my wonderful sister-in-law Billie Henry who makes it all sound credible.
Thirdy, assuming I don't have to stay and I cannot pick my own creation... Santa Teresa, CA. I love Kinsey Millhone from Sue Grafton's Alphabet series, she is everything I would love to be (if I wasn't me). Plus the 80s is my era. I've been reading of the life of Kinsey Millhone since then. Who wouldn't want to met Henry Pitts and Dietz?(less)

Redway Acres - Emmalee (book 6) Prologue (History)
1 chapters   —   updated Jun 28, 2020 06:38PM
Description: The Redway Acres saga continues with book six. A look back to the early life of Emmalee Knightly in the late 18th century. Emmalee, the middle daughter of an affluent family, lives with her controlling parents on the North Norfolk coast. She, along with her two sisters, is expected to marry well. To that end, the family often travels to their London home for the social season. Emmalee has long believed in her destiny- an arranged marriage to David Ackley, the youngest son of the Earl of Aysthill. However, to Emmalee’s horror, during their much-anticipated first meeting, she discovers that David desires someone else. Despite the cloud of controversy hanging over them, the couple find themselves forced into a marriage of convenience, and David’s reaction to his perceived misfortune results in far-reaching consequences for his family and friends. Meanwhile, a pregnancy, an accident, and an untimely death thrust Emmalee into the demanding role of Countess of Aysthill, to which she rises with dauntless spirit. Emmalee dotes on her two sons, William and Nathaniel, who invoke differing affections from their father. The hope that sustains Emmalee is that time will heal the breach her marriage suffered even before she spoke her vows. But just as the wound finally begins to mend, a ghost from the past returns.

Description: Prologue to Redway Acres Book 4 - Harriet Book description Set in early 1800s, England... Harriet, is the last surviving Wyndham in her family and has inherited the enormous Wyndham estate, on the outskirts of Bath, in Somerset.
