Falcon review and release blitz

I liked this book. I liked it more than I liked Phoenix. This one wasn’t all about Marco and Faith’s pasts, but rather their futures.Faith is strong and sassy. I liked how she stood up for herself.Marco was a little more one dimensional for me. I would’ve liked to have seen more vulnerability from him, more questioning. That seemed to get lost once he met faith.Again though, I don’t think this writing style is for me. It’s slightly stronger here, but still flowery and a little overly descriptive. Still, I know it’ll suit other people.
Overall, a solid book, but not one of my favourites.

Children of virtue and vengeance, Tomi Adeymi.

I was a little disappointed in this book. The first one took me by surprise, but how it won me over, this book tore apart.This boom seemed a little directionless, as if the author didn’t quite know where she wanted to go, or how she wanted things to go down. Things happen and aren’t explained, the repercussions of the first book not touched on. It’s almost like what happened didn’t matter.I hated Amari in this book. Hated her. She pushed her way in where she didn’t belong and didn’t understand why people didn’t accept her.I loved Roen but fear a love triangle with an ending I’m not going to like.Zelie endeared herself to me even more. I love her strength, her vulnerability.Inan disappointed me, never really making the hard decisions.
Despite this book, I still really want to see how this series plays out, I just hope it all comes together a little neater.

Enigma review and release blitz, Laramie Briscoe

This is was an okay book. To be honest, I didn’t really connect with Tucker and Karsyn, mainly because I don’t feel as if I really got to know them in the previous LSERT books, they seemed an odd choice.Still, it was a solid book. The storyline was interesting and I liked the involvement of all our previous favourites.But I couldn’t really connect to Tucker or Karsyn. They’re solid characters but I feel like we don’t know them, at least as well as we know the other MTF and LSERT characters. 
As a stand-alone this book is solid, as a part of the series? I found it a little lacking.

The harder you fall review and release blitz, L.A. Cotton

I loved this series and I liked this book. It’s a great example of mature YA and all the goodness it entails.I love Mya and Asher as charactersMya is strong, self-assured, and confident.Asher is vulnerable but trying to do the right thing.Together they should make a great couple but I’m not entirely sold on them. To me, it all seems a bit matchy matchy, like they’re only together because they’re the last 2 in their group.I also wanted to see more of Asher’s feelings from the start, especially given his feelings for felicity.Still, this is a solid book and I liked the drama.It’s a solid book.
