With GOD all things are possible (4)

About salvation

Will the rich get into heaven? This is what Jesus has to say about it. And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE MATT MARK LUKEHe saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

With GOD all things are possible

Jesus’ words tell us that nothing is impossible with GOD and all things are possible with GOD. So if you find yourself in a tight spot .. don’t fret. Just exercise those knees and say, ‘Thank you LORD for helping me, because I know that nothing is impossible with Thee,’

Prayers answered

GOD hears prayer. It is as simple as that. After I ruptured my appendix and the surgeons decided not to operate .. all I wanted to do was get home to my girls. I thought if I must die, I will die at home. But I decided that, if it was up to me, this was not an option and enlisted GOD’s help.

Today is the official launch day of my book ‘My Story of Survival.’ I wanted to share with my readers what it means for me to believe in The Most High. I want you to know that whatever situation you find yourself in; GOD hears prayer. And not only that, but He answers too.

Today I’ll print up the last excerpt of my book, for now. You will be able to download my book for FREE from Amazon on December 15, 16 and 17 in 2015. Please share this link with anyone who may benefit from my story or my diet.

My message is, don’t give up! Trust the LORD! If there are answers out there for me, there will be for you too. May GOD bless you and yours richly with abundant health always!

EXCERPT FROM MY STORY OF SURVIVAL

GOD hears Prayers

Alleluia, Praise God, he heard our prayers, got me out of the hospital and into the care of my girls, who did an awesome job at keeping me going. It took the kids around a year to nurse me back to being able to simply get up from bed.

The hospital had sent me home with boxes of antibiotics to which I was intolerant, and with every breath I managed to take, I felt and looked as if it were going to be my last.

The surgeons had told me, “Come back when you’re better and we’ll take your appendix out.”

The kids phoned around and located a wonderful naturopath who did a home visit and prescribed the homeopathic remedy Pyrogen and Cleavers herb. These remedies, together with loads of TLC and mustard seed-sized faith, proved to be a lifesaver.

When I came out of hospital mid-2008 after rupturing my appendix, I could only suck slivers of ice for quite a while. I couldn’t drink, I couldn’t eat, and there was nothing I could keep down, not even water, unless it had been frozen and shaved.

The healthy diet I had been on of fresh, raw, organic vegs and fruit now caused me massive cramps and vomiting. After weeks, I was able to hold down some soups. After months passed, we discovered that I was unable to tolerate any kind of grain, including rice, or any kind of flour, meat, tofu, tempeh, cheeses (and I do like cheese), eggs, and so on. After a while, we figured out what I could tolerate.

In the end we came up with a ten-ingredient-diet which sustained me for a period of five years. Five ingredients only for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Below I show an example of how I arrived at the ten ingredient diet.

Guidance through prayer
Trial and error and oodles of faith.

It is true, when I said earlier that the diet came about 100% by trial and error. What is also true is that I received a lot of guidance with prayer. The problem was that I hadn’t exercised my knees much, and even though I received wonderful responses to my prayers, my follow-up left a lot to be desired.

For instance, one night I went to sleep asking for a solution to the infections that seemed to plague me non-stop. I woke up in the middle of the night thinking, ‘God says E, 6 times 3.’ Nice little rhyme, easy to remember, and a little intriguing. Naturally, I didn’t recall it in the morning and it was not till weeks later that this prompting popped back into my mind.

Dreams and prayers

At breakfast one day we were discussing dreams and prayers. Propped up against my pillows whilst chewing my bit of apple, I suddenly remembered the intense prayer for a solution to the infections, and just as I was about to open my mouth to say that I was still waiting for an answer, I remembered the little rhyme. Call me cotton brain if you like, but this happened a lot to me. I would intensely pray for a solution and completely miss the answer for weeks, if not months, on end.

I was not only dopey, but also untrained and unfamiliar with prayers being answered so readily and easily. I would often get an answer and not act upon it for quite a while.

Once I remembered the little rhyme I said it out loud, “God Says E, 6 times 3.” What does that mean girls? I looked around, and next to me on my bedside table was an orange little bottle of Goldenseal extract. Ha! (G)olden(S)eal (E)xtract. Tada!

Now you probably wonder why this was such a revelation, because obviously, if this bottle was on my bedside table I was already taking this supplement? Well, no. I tried, but hadn’t been able to take it because every time I took a dose I would end up with a massive migraine.

Goldenseal extract

Goldenseal extract is sometimes prescribed to help with the germ E coli, which of course had come into play with the septicaemia. It may have been mentioned to me by the friendly homeopath, I cannot remember, and we may have ordered it from Iherb. But the thing was that this supplement had been of no use to me because I was not able to tolerate it … till the answer to my prayer.

Once I remembered the little rhyme of ‘God Says E, 6 times 3,’ I decided to ignore the dosage instructions on the bottle, which was way more than I could tolerate, and took 3 drops at a time, 6 times a day. It did not take very long after this for me to be able to sit up more in bed without feeling nauseous and dizzy. Till that stage I had mainly been lying in bed not doing much of anything in particular because sitting up had been too much of an effort to me.

*** USEFUL FACT *** Goldenseal’s ability as a “natural antibiotic” has given this herb a great reputation in the herbal lore. Digestive secretions in the stomach are increased by taking the remedies made from the goldenseal. The remedy also has an astringent action on the mucous membranes lining the gut; this checks the spread of inflammation in the area at the same time. Do not use for prolonged period of time. See NOTES.

Little by little

And so little by little, step by step, I recovered eetsy weenie tiny bits at a time. This particular answer to a prayer taught me to ignore the dosages given on bottles because they were always too large for me. I learned to take things one drop at a time, even to the point where I would put one drop on my wrist and wait for a couple of days to see if there was a reaction, and after this maybe have a drop in a glass of water and wait to see if there was a reaction, and so on.

I had already learned that extracts were the way to go for me because they get absorbed easier and can be purchased without any additives. But many of these extracts were simply too potent for me to handle … till I learned to take it really easy. Literally one drop at a time.

It was in the same way that the trial and error with the diet came about. Trying out one bite at a time. Literally take one bite of carrot and wait for a day or so to see if there was a negative reaction. I know this sounds crazy, and indeed my life was pretty crazy. Crazy good, I am still breathing! And I am still around!

With GOD Nothing Shall Be Impossible (3)

Elizabeth, Mary and Jesus all agree
‘With GOD nothing shall be impossible’

Remember Sarah and how she gave birth aged 80? Well, this was not a one-off event. A similar thing happened with Elizabeth, the cousin of Jesus’ mother Mary, as described in the Gospels. Elizabeth had no children either. Even though both Elizabeth and her husband Zachariah were good people; they were childless. WITH GOD NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE LUKE 1Zachariah prayed to the LORD and was promised  joy and gladness and a child, despite the fact that they were both quite old.

Mary was visited by an angel who told her that, ‘With GOD nothing shall be impossible,’ and she would receive a, ‘Holy thing … called the Son of God’.

Jesus told his disciples that faith the size of a mustard seed is enough to move mountains and in combination with prayer and fasting can even rebuke devils and cure lunacy. Jesus said that, ‘If ye have faith the size of a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.’

Prayer works miracles

After prayer, Elizabeth received a baby when she was well advanced in age. Mary said, ‘Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.’ This is when she found out that both she and her cousin were pregnant and would give birth. Mary was promised a virgin birth.

Jesus said that faith moves mountains and with faith, ‘Nothing shall be impossible to you.’

Those words are worth holding onto. If I had not believed in those words I possibly would not have expected to live. But these words are what kept me going. GOD’s promises, Jesus’ and Jeremiah’s prophesies, Sarah and Abraham, Elizabeth and Zachariah, and Mary’s victories is what kept me going. Because all of them told me that, ‘With God nothing shall be impossible.’ And I believed them then, and I believe them now.

Another excerpt

Following is another excerpt from My Story of Survival. Looking back, my heart fills with gratitude because of the kindness that has been shown to me by everyone around me, and especially My Creator, Our Father in Heaven.

BEGINNING EXCERPT

The scans showed that my appendix had gone into hiding and all that could be seen were adhesions. Adhesions are like a type of scar tissue, or rather bands of fibrous tissue that can form between abdominal tissues and organs as a result of trauma such as surgery, infection, and for instance, a ruptured appendix.  Abdominal adhesions can cause tissues and organs in the abdominal cavity to stick together.

Before I came to hospital I had experienced many adverse reactions to antibiotics and my body vehemently protested against the antibiotics, which were administered to me through a drip. Everything got continuously expelled from both ends. As soon as it came in, it went out.

*** USEFUL FACT *** Side effects, allergies and reactions to antibiotics are not that unusual. Common side effects are rashes, diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea/vomiting, hypersensitivity, dizziness. See NOTES.

After one sleepless night in the hospital, my eldest daughter phoned around during the next night to find appropriate help for me, because she could see that the treatment I received was not necessarily doing me a lot of good. This drew the attention of some other doctors, and I ended up with a team around my bed discussing what would be the best way to go.

For a little while morphine became my best friend, but just the same it took days for my tummy to stop resembling a plank, and the relentless heaving and nonstop emptying of my bowels was taking its toll. I had to get outta here.

We prayed

My girls prayed and I prayed. I had asked for the drip to be taken out, and it was agreed that the drip would be taken out to see how I would cope, and if it were possible for me to go home to recover further so that eventually I could be operated on and my appendix removed.

Raise me up please

I was desperate to get out of the hospital and back home and prayed with all my might. In some church leaflet a little while ago I had read about the Lord lifting people up and raising them higher. To be truthful, I didn’t quite know what that meant, but I liked the sound of it, so I went, “Father, if you could raise me up and lift me higher and higher, please. High enough to get out of here and back home with my girls. Not beyond the clouds as yet, but high enough to get out of here, please.”

I quite liked the way that sounded and repeated this a few times, and then fell asleep. The next morning my drip was taken out, and, relishing my new-found freedom, I was waving my arms up and down beside the bed when I abruptly knocked some knob.

Curiosity got the better of me, and as I pressed the knob, the bed started to move up. I giggled and pressed again. Up it went. And again and again, in no time my bed was up so high that my hands touched the ceiling. My giggles became an unstoppable laugh.

Mary, the cleaning lady, came in without me noticing. All of a sudden I realised that she was cleaning beneath the bed. When she was finished she looked up at me and said, ‘You can come down again.’

I giggled a bit more and asked her, “Did you know that these beds go up so high?” She smiled at me and said, “Yep, we use it all the time. Although most of the new beds don’t go up as high as yours; you have one of the last of the older models.” And out she went to continue her round of cleaning.

Within a minute I was back touching the ceiling, and I was still there when my medical team came in a little while later. The Registrar, surrounded by nurses and a couple of other doctors, looked up and asked, “How are you feeling today?”

I grinned back at him, “On top of the world, high as a kite, I’ve never been better.”

I was back home the next day.

5 starsInteresting True Story
By Mary Ainsworth on December 9, 2015
Format: Kindle Edition
This book was a very interesting read. As a nurse, I found it difficult to believe that 10 ingredients could be healthy. But when you read her true story you can understand what she went through. My sister is struggling as a newly diagnosed celiac and I suggested she read it. If you have any dietary issues, you can find some pointers that might help. With all the dietary health issues out there you start to wonder what you can really eat–this book is can get you started.

Having suffered food sensitivities for a number of years, I found Mimi’s story inspirational. It shows the resilience of the human body and the courageousness of a woman’s willingness to survive at all costs. For those who have tried all and still aren’t sure where to start, this book will be of great help.

Oh LORD, Nothing is Too Hard For You (2)

Are you doubting that GOD will deliver?

Are you in a bit of a pickle and you doubt that GOD will deliver? Don’t doubt. You know what Jesus had to say to doubting Thomas, don’t you? He said, ‘Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.’OH LORD NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR YOU JEREMIAH 32

James said, ‘Ask GOD and don’t waver.

Prophet Jeremiah showed his trust in the LORD when he bought a parcel of land in enemy territory whilst he was prison! Jeremiah handed over seventeen shekels of silver and demonstrated his faith and obedience when he said,  ‘For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.’ Who knows if he doubted or not .. but he did as he was told. Jeremiah showed strength and loyalty.

And he prayed, Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee!’

Jeremiah recognised that his people had mucked up and were in trouble because they had not done the right things by each other nor GOD. Yet he hath faith and knew that GOD would restore their land and health back to them.

Jeremiah found himself in a pretty desperate situation in prison during war, yet he remained faithful and obedient and most importantly, he continued to pray.

GOD hears prayer

I know that GOD hears prayer because he has answered plenty of mine and I can show you many examples from the Bible. But today I will share a little bit more from my book, ‘My Story of Survival‘ of how GOD answered my prayers.

BEGINNING EXCERPT MY STORY OF SURVIVAL

Michael’s life-saving call

When the ambulance came to our house, I was in so much pain that I was not able to walk and pretty much had to slip my way down the staircase with my bum, one step at a time. I think at the bottom of the stairs the guys got me on a stretcher, but I cannot really remember. When we got to the hospital, the ambulance officers were told to wait with me on the stretcher at the emergency check-in area, which was chockers on a weekend night. In fact, as we found out later, it had been one of the most horrendous nights at the local hospital, with casualties and deceased being brought in from a car crash only a little while after I checked in on the night of July 18 in the year 2008.

It could have gone wrong when I experienced hideous pain and my girls phoned around but weren’t able to secure a doctor’s home visit for me.

But what happened instead was that between their frantic phone calls, a friend of the family phoned to check in with us and asked how the house move was going. Did we arrive safely and all that? My daughters told Michael about their mum near enough passing out from the pain in her gut, and he implored them to phone an ambulance.

Michael was a friend we had met through my brother, and Michael prayed for us. Chances are that if Michael had not phoned, prayed for us, and encouraged my girls to get an ambulance, it could have gone wrong. But it didn’t and I stayed alive. Have you ever heard of Michael the archangel? He truly exists and made a lifesaving call on July 18 in the year 2008. Don’t tell me that angels don’t exist.

As I said, it was one of the most horrendous nights in the history of our local hospital, the nurses kept telling me that this was one of, if not their worst, ‘full moon nights.’ As a result of this being an extremely busy night at the hospital, I was not paid much attention and placed on the stretcher right next to the glistening, noisily-vibrating fridges filled with drinks. The noise was more than I could handle and the girls asked if I could please be moved elsewhere. This was refused by the ambulance officers.

Both the pain and the noise, as well as the light, were unbearable to me, and my eldest daughter continued to make attempts to have me moved to a more quiet location. Her attempts were noted in the report as her being obnoxious and uncooperative. The kid was trying to save her mum’s life, for crying out loud!

Oh Sing Unto The Lord

As I could feel my life ebbing away, I’m not sure who started it, but all of a sudden the three of us were singing the Scripture Songs which I had created a few months prior to help us with our house move. It went something like this,

Oh Sing unto the Lord a new song,

O sing unto the Lord a new song,

O sing unto the Lord

All the earth

It came even to pass when the singers were as one

To make one sound to be heard on praising

And thanking the Lord

And when they lifted up their voice

The glory of the Lord had filled the house

Praise the Lord all ye nations

Praise him all ye people

For his merciful kindness is great toward us;

And the truth of the Lord

Endureth forever

Oh praise ye the Lord

Praise Yah

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made

And all the host of them

By the breath of his mouth

Let all the earth fear the Lord

And all the inhabitants be in awe

For he spake and it was done

He commanded and it stood fast

Please forsake not the work of thine own hands

God’s word shall not return void

We waited patiently for the Lord

He lifted us out of the miry clay

And set our feet upon a rock

And established our goings

Many shall see and trust in the Lord

Many shall see and trust in the Lord

Oh many shall see and trust in the Lord

Amen

We walk with God like Enoch did

And we wanna be no more like Enoch did

For God took him and we wanna be like him

But thy will be done

In earth as in heaven

In earth as in heaven

In earth as in heaven

Thy will be done.

I really cannot remember if we got as far as this or if we sang even more than this. But what I can remember is that in no time at all, after we started singing, I was wheeled out of the emergency admission room into a nearby emergency treatment private room. This is where we spent most the night, and I was closely monitored by machines and doctors as the diseased and casualties of an accident were brought in and treated all around me.

END OF EXCERPT MY STORY OF SURVIVAL

We sang in a similar fashion to Jeremiah’s prayer. Prasing GOD, recognising HIM as the Creator of Heaven and Earth, remembering his goodness towards us, even though we’re not worthy and asking that in all GOD’s will be done.

Our song and prayer moved me quick smart out of an overcrowded emergency intake area into a private treatment room where I was closely monitored. Praise the LORD.

5 starsWow! Such an inspiring woman! A great read!
By ReadingAway on December 8, 2015
Format: Kindle Edition
Most of us are lucky, we only have one, or maybe a handful of foods to avoid. Reading about Mimi’s struggle with food intolerances and mystery illnesses was absolutely fascinating. She is clearly a strong woman, and a great role model for staying strong and never giving up, no matter what life throws your way.

The thing I really LOVE about this book, that is sorely lacking in sooooo many others like it, is that the author is extremely careful to remind the reader repeatedly that this worked for HER, and that she is not claiming that it’s any sort of cure-all for EVERYONE. And by doing so, and sharing the research that she’d done in this area, her experiences with this diet, it encourages the reader to experiment to find out what works for their own body. Because we’re all different, after all!

She says, “Is my diet a cure for all? I doubt it very much. I do believe, however, that many people who are struggling with their diet may be inspired by the possibilities I present here in this book. And it is my hope and prayer that together with their health provider, people will be able to come up with alternatives instead of struggling on a daily basis with their diet.”

She comes across as very sincere, and I am grateful that she was brave enough to share her story.

Is Anything Too Hard For The LORD? (1)

Is everything going your way?

Is everything going your way today? No? Funny, that, for me neither. But you know what gets me

IS ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR THE LORD GENESISthrough? The fact that nothing is too hard for the LORD! Therefore, I know that whatever struggles I face can be overcome .. by application and persistence and diligence and oodles of faith and prayer.

I know this for a fact because I lived through it. I didn’t live through it for a few moments or a day. No, I lived through it for years and years; a few decades actually. And I’ve found out, along the way, that nothing is too hard for the LORD. If an eighty-year-old lady such as Sarah can get pregnant and give birth with his help .. guess what? Nothing is too hard for the LORD!

And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife? And he said, Behold, in the tent.

And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.

And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?

And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? Is any thing too hard for the Lord?

At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

Terrifying Premonition

Last week I printed an excerpt of my book  ‘My Story of Survival‘ about how my daughter had a terrifying premonition. Below is another excerpt.

The warning that had come to my daughter in her ‘dream’ was that, at the time my survival was at stake, I shouldn’t take anything that would be offered to me. My daughter remembered and heeded this warning, which resulted in her refusing the morphine I was offered to cope with the relentless hurting of a ruptured appendix. Only after an abundance of prayer and a night of intolerable pain would my daughters yield and allow the nurse to give me a morphine injection.

I am now convinced that this may have saved my life because, considering the state I was in, I am pretty sure that a morphine shot would have allowed me to sink into blissful oblivion, never to return.

As it was, the hideous hurting kept me on edge and alert enough to want to stay around for my kids. I believe that if the inevitable relaxation that a morphine shot eventually did bring on had happened earlier, this potentially might have allowed the septicaemia to spread more than it did and cause more damage.

5 stars amazing personal story

By Osvaldo Q on December 1, 2015

Format: Kindle Edition

What an amazing story. I wanted to give this book to someone that would benefit from the diet tips, but found myself reading the personal story and engrossed in the trials the author went through.

The writing is clear and concise and breaks down subjects in bite size pieces.

Apart from the fascinating true story, there are Useful Facts notes distributed throughout the book which are great to investigate ingredients further.

The actual diet is also very useful and sets out ingredients and typical weeks which I would try just for the health benefits alone.

A fascinating read for anyone wanting to learn about health and read a person’s interesting journey.

END OF REVIEW

Praise the LORD for sending us messages in our dreams,

For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men,

in slumberings upon the bed;

Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction

One Size Fits All

The author’s One Size Fits All diet has a lot in common with the FODMAP diet plan which was developed by Sue Shepherd PhD and Peter Gibson MD, and is considered a revolutionary plan for managing IBS and other digestive disorders. But even this so called ‘must-have-survival-guide’ would not have worked for Mimi after she ruptured her appendix and developed septicaemia whilst suffering from antibiotic intolerance.

Oodles of Faith

The author reckons that the secret ingredient of ‘oodles of faith’ worked miracles. Read Mimi’s fascinating true story to find out what happened.
Snippet from the book
Terrifying premonition

Just before we moved house in the year 2008, one of my daughters had a terrifying premonition, which came to her in a dream.

“Mum, it was one of those dreams where everything was crystal clear, just as I’ve had before, remember? And that dream came true too. It was terrifying; the doctor said to us ‘there is a two in three chance she won’t make it.’ He was talking about you, Mum, and he meant it. It was serious.”

At the time, all I could think to do was to calm my shaking and teary daughter, so I wiped her tears, looked her straight in the eyes and said, “I promise to be careful darling. Don’t you worry about a thing, God is in charge of us and our life is in his hands, always.”

It was less than two weeks after my daughter’s ‘nightmare’ that the three of us found ourselves in the emergency department with the surgeon telling my daughters that they wouldn’t operate on me, fearing that my survival rate would be less than 2 in 5 if they did so.

END OF BOOK EXTRACT

Foreword

Excerpt Foreword by Health Practitioner

Writing this foreword to Mimi Emmanuel’s little book has been challenging to me personally, as I felt I could not possibly endorse the concept of eating only ten foods to obtain all the nutrients necessary for sustaining life.

However, since I first met Mimi some six years ago, I have witnessed how she has slowly started to regain her health through a process that could be described as an experiment in survival …

So we have Mimi’s OSFA diet, perhaps the ultimate low-reactive diet plan. It may be a good place to start when no other answers seem forthcoming …

★★★★★ This is a God-send read for those with mysterious food intolerance.
By Deidre J. Edwards on December 6, 2015

Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase

At the end of your digestive rope? Hang on, you are not alone and have a friend who can help! This is an honest-to-goodness real story of one woman’s grit and self-determination when faced with an over-whelming medical conundrum as to why her body was on revolt.

You can’t be the master of a sinking ship without becoming a master builder; becoming a student on how to patch and re-build. Mimi Emmanuel learned how to craft her own survival diet out of just a very few ingredients. While she hopes that none of her readers would ever have to follow her diet, she shares this journey to show that there are answers to be found. There are times when the standard elimination diet is far too broad for those suffering from a fried immune and digestive system.

She shares the spartan but nourishing diet she had to follow for FIVE years as well as how she has tippy-toed into a more varied Phase 2. I especially like her “useful facts” that she places throughout the book to not only make her case as to nutritional needs, but they also spark a deeper interest for further study and personal application. I will most definitely recommend this book to those I teach about diet and nutrition.

An extraordinary story of hope for anyone suffering with food sensitivities

I am inspired by Mimi’s courage in the face of incredible challenge….her story is beautifully written, never losing hope.

Her shocking experience has triumphantly given anyone who struggles with food intolerances a great starting point for getting your diet back on track at a time when helpful information is hard to find. I wish this book had been written 20 years ago when I would have put it’s no nonsense information to good use. I was so intrigued with her story, I read it in one sitting.

Thank you for praying with us for our friend.

Bless the LORD who heals all our diseases!

Last week one of our friends was taken to the hospital by ambulance and for a few days we weren’t quite sure what was going on. The doctors at our local hospital performed endless tests and after a day decided to fly him to one of our major hospitals for specialist care. This morning we heard that he was being prepared for surgery.

Thank you for praying for our friend

We promised to pray for him, and we are using one of the prayers which we use regularly for healing purposes.

If you come across this post, thank you for praying with us for our friend who is undergoing surgery.

We pray that he may heal quickly.

Love each other!

Love each other!

The Pope just called Christmas a charade because of all the atrocities in the world.

What I have to share in this regard is to remind everyone please to,  ‘Love each other.’

Loving is loving, no matter what your religion is. If you don’t know how to, or have lost track of it because there is so much hatred … here are some guidelines, I don’t know of any better ones.

I pray that you all may be kept safe!

SQ SC Comfort set 1 72      Praise the LORD

I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me,

and heard my cry.

He brought me up also out of an horrible pit,

out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock,

and established my goings.

And he hath put a new song in my mouth,

even praise unto our God:

many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

Yikes, this is scary stuff!

The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.

The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Give account for every idle wordI used to write lots of poetry, sharp if not slightly sarcastic. Even won the odd award and prize here and there. I have mentioned this before.

What I found is that my own words fail miserably in comparison to GOD’s Word. I’ve lost the taste for writing up all sorts of stuff.

I rather spend my time repeating and sharing the awesome life-giving Word. This way I shouldn’t get myself into trouble and may even cheer someone up here and there. You can check out our free Scripture Card site where you can share your favourite Scripture Verses effortlessly with your friends and family.

I’ll share a Scripture Song with you which I wrote about the Oracles of God. I haven’t recorded it yet, but that’ll be next.

Oracles of GOD

It is written,

Man shall not live

by bread alone

but by every word that proceedeth out

Out of God’s mouth.

Matthew 4:4

Jesus said unto them,

Hear and understand

Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man

but that which cometh out of the mouth

this defileth a man

Matthew 15:10-11

Every man’s word shall be his burden

for ye have perverted the words

of the living God

of the Lord of Host our God

Jeremiah 23:36

Every idle word

that man shall speak

they shall give account thereof

in the day of judgment

For by thy words thou shalt be justified

and by thy words thou shalt be condemned

Matthew 12:36-37

  If any man speak

let him speak

as the oracles of God

that God in all things may be glorified

through Jesus Christ

1 Peter 4:11

To whom be praise and dominion forever

and ever.

Amen.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

What action to take, to be passed from death unto life?

Passed from death unto life

Last post we read how Jesus merely reiterated His Father’s Word. Jesus repeated this many times.

He 2continuously throughout his ministry let his followers know that he spoke His Father’s Word and didn’t make anything up himself.

What follows is another promise by Jesus. He tells us that anyone that hears and lives according to His teachings and anyone that believes in His Father, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, can lay claim to the promise of eternal life.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, hath everlasting  life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Out of this world!

That promise of eternal life is just out of this world! Who can wrap their mind around it?

Going to heaven? Sure, when I grew up in a Catholic family we all believed that we’d go to heaven; that is unless we were naughty and then we would end up in hell.

But this is a different thing altogether. This is God’s Word laying it out in detail: Eternal life, everlasting life, living forever … If you want to, you can sign up for it … yeahh! I like it. We’re actually given a choice and this choice is not just for the religious but open to anyone.

Are you comfortable?

I often enough hear people say that heaven … yeah whatever. And I’ve come to understand that this is what some people believe because they enjoy all the comforts that life has to offer and they have no longing for a better place. Why don’t these people long for a better place?  Because life is quite enjoyable for them as it is. This reminds me of the following verses,

“There was a certain rich man who clothed himself in purple and fine linen, and who feasted luxuriously every day. At his gate lay a certain poor man named Lazarus who was covered with sores. Lazarus longed to eat the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Instead, dogs would come and lick his sores.

“The poor man died and was carried by angels to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. While being tormented in the place of the dead, he looked up and saw Abraham at a distance with Lazarus at his side. He shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me. Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I’m suffering in this flame.’

But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that during your lifetime you received good things, whereas Lazarus received terrible things. Now Lazarus is being comforted and you are in great pain. Moreover, a great crevasse has been fixed between us and you. Those who wish to cross over from here to you cannot. Neither can anyone cross from there to us.’

“The rich man said, ‘Then I beg you, Father, send Lazarus to my father’s house.   I have five brothers. He needs to warn them so that they don’t come to this place of agony.’ Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets. They must listen to them.’

The rich man said, ‘No, Father Abraham! But if someone from the dead goes to them, they will change their hearts and lives.’

Abraham said, ‘If they don’t listen to Moses and the Prophets, then neither will they be persuaded if someone rises from the dead.’” Copyright 2011 Common English Bible(CEB)

Listen to Moses and the Prophets

Once more we’re told by Jesus to listen to Moses and the Prophets if we’re interested in the Good Afterlife. By telling this parable, Jesus even prophesied that people who don’t pay attention to what the prophets had to say, won’t pay attention to someone (such as Himself) who was raised from the dead either.

Don’t worry if you’re comfortable in this life, there is nothing wrong with that in itself. Just make sure that you take care of all the people around you as well.

And then as you take care of those around you, no need to tell the world about it because as Jesus said, the praise you receive for your good deeds will be all the reward you can expect.

“When you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.”

and also

Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
