Weekend Roundup
We had a blast Saturday night at Wizard’s reunion. I thought I’d have pictures but I ended up leaving Siri (my iPhone) in car, so I didn’t take pictures. I did that because I was carrying a really small purse and didn’t want to mess with my cell phone.
Wizard insists that Sami (his Samsung cell phone) make Siri cry and she HID in the car. NOT TRUE! Siri is a smart phone that can do everything but make coffee and Sami is so dumb, he can’t do anything but text and make calls.
Back to the reunion. We really did have fun, but it was the worst food ever. And I had to eat because Wizard started off the night by getting me a Gin and Tonic. I am a lightweight drinker, and was starved. So I ate…I’m not sure what it was…lasagna maybe? Mostly I ate a mystery pasta salad that tasted a lot like the stable clothes and green salad.
Then I spotted the dessert table. Which I pointed out to Wizard and we strolled over there. “Dessert” was a bunch of store bought, economy-sized cookies piled on a plate.
I was not a happy witch about that. However, seeing everyone Wizard grew up with more than made up for the awful food. Such a great night, then we got home late and we were wiped out Sunday. I read part of Wolf Moon (Silvers latest release!) and sort of just hung around thinking about all the things I should be doing.
In other news, I’m having trouble getting started on the next installment of my secret project. So…I’ve turned my attention to the house much to Wizard’s distress. First, on Friday, I offered to go with him to the Home Depot, and he ended up spending the rest of the day replacing towel racks in the guest bathroom and touch up painting. Saturday morning I cajoled him into going furniture shopping, but we couldn’t find anything. So I showed him granite counter tops and new back splash I want in the kitchen…
Then Sunday I mentioned how if we keep all the old stuff in the house this is the time to try getting a dog again…
Now he’s begging me to please, PLEASE, go back to writing. Bwhahaha!!
How was your weekend?

Happy Friday!
I must stop baking! Or this will be me:
See I’ve been researching bakeries (secret project!!), then I keep finding these recipes…like the lemon cookies I made last Friday that are now all gone. You can find the recipe here http://www.laurenslatest.com/lemon-cr...
Wizard is NO HELP! He would rather I bake than keep the weight off. All these years, he has never once said a word about my weight…
Oh wait, that’s a total lie. When I was pregnant with our first son and we were driving on the freeway, he offered to stop at the truck scale so I could weight myself. Then laughed himself sick.
Think I held a grudge for that one long enough? Bhahahaha!!!
But otherwise, nope, he never says a word about my weight. But I am trying ignore all the fat and carbs once more. For a while there I got a little thinner than I intended with BLB, but this month or six weeks, I’m slacking off too much. I’m going back to the gym next week! My back/side issue better just suck it up
This weekend we have an small reunion thing to go to for Wizard. Otherwise, it’ll be business as usual. I’ll be trying really hard NOT to think about the pastries stuffed with ricotta cheese and lemon curd I saw on a TV show called Unique Sweets. I so bet I could make those…
I. Must. Resist!
Do you have any big weekend plans? Have a great one!!!
P.S. If you haven’t done it yet, be sure to check out our own Silver James’s latest release, Wolf Moon. I have it on my Kindle!

Wing Slayer Worthy
I’m going to the dentist today to get a tiny cavity filled. Because the dentist is so far away from us, it’s a half day process at least. It’s really time to find one closer to home.
In a change of topics, I really don’t care for the book I’m reading. Don’t you hate that? I’m not going to name the book, it’s just not for me. And hello–three points of view in FIRST PERSON can be a little crazy annoying confusing pointless and freaking exhausting daunting to read.
Let’s move on before I slide into a full blown rant, shall we? For the record, I demanded suggested to today’s candidate that he take his shirt off in order to give all the witches a better view.
All I got in response was a smirk. Whatever, he’s the one being judged, not me!
So what do you think? Wing Slayer Worthy?
I’ll probably be even later than usual commenting since I’ll be at the dentists and doing random errands while I’m out.

Weekend Roundup
This is so weird…Biker Witch and I went out on Saturday and didn’t get into trouble. Well except that she distracted me by talking about puppies and I missed the exit to go to lunch. I had to double back, but otherwise, no trouble.
I’m pretty sure that’s because Biker Witch is still recovering from The Crud and just wasn’t up to causing trouble. And you all know that I never cause trouble. I’m a good witch
We had a great lunch that included chocolate cake–so much cake we both had to take some home. Wizard practically tackled me when I came in the door with left over chocolate cake.
In health news, I have to say that I WAS RIGHT. My x-rays on my lumbar came back fine. Whatever I did to it is healing, just slowly. While I like to gloat about being right, mostly I’m just grateful.
In writing news, I had hoped to have an announcement regarding the Wing Slayer Hunters, but it simply didn’t work out. I am still hoping I can finish CAGE MAGIC and self publish it, along with more WSH stories. But the way things are going, that has to be around other projects I’m doing.
I’ll have more to tell you soon!
Okay, you’re turn–how was your weekend?

Happy Friday!
I’m supposed to go out with Biker Witch tomorrow if she kicks the crud that she’s had for going on two weeks. I’m hoping she does–I’m really going stir crazy. Plus I want her to get well.
But I’ve been writing
In other news, I saw my doctor on Wednesday, just my routine visit for my RA. He got very cranky over some lumbar pain I’ve been having for three months and MADE me go get an x-ray. Which I waited nearly two hours for. So annoying. I tried to get out of doing it, but my doctor has known me way too long. I come out of that little room, he hand’s me the order and says, “Go now.”
“But–”
“Now. I’ll have results by Friday or Monday. Go. Now.”
Sigh, I went. But I grumbled the entire time, texting Biker Witch and Wizard my annoyance. I don’t have the x ray results yet, but I’m sure it’s a stupid muscle strain that is slow to heal.
Oh, and the doctor took me off exercise AGAIN to try to heal this thing.
Have I complained enough yet? The pain itself isn’t bad at all as long as I don’t do twist and lift kind of motions. But I really hate my life being interrupted.
Other than that, things are good. So what’s up with you guys?

Wing Slayer Worthy
I’m at a fork in the road, and am going to have to make a decision about my career. Unfortunately, my crystal ball is cloudy and no help at all. I hate when that happens. Sigh.
In other news, I just got the samples of my cover for my secret project…but we won’t talk about that since it drives some of you crazy.
I wasted so much time yesterday trying to find a WSW candidate yesterday. I did find one–for #$60.00 bucks. Ha, I don’t think so! So I’m going to pull this guy out reserve files. He’s my model for Key’s trading card:

Weekend Roundup
Wizard talked me into going to the car show over the weekend, and as usual, once he dragged me out of my cave, I had fun.
So did Linc. He said he’s going to buy this car:
A Viper of course. That man does love his Vipers. Probably because before I meant Linc, one of my sons was obsessed with Vipers
Wizard loved the Mustang and other power cars. He was like a kid around all those cars! Sort of like me around dogs.
Sunday I wrote quite a bit. I also just finished the Deep Story Online class and got a lot out of that. I’ve been pretty much doing that all along, but what this class helps me with is understanding quicker what is NOT working in my stories, and gives me tools to fix it.
Okay, you’re turn. How was your weekend?

Friday Cage Fight
Happy Friday!
It’s been a while since we’ve done a cage fight. So let’s get to it!
First into the cage is the guy from Wednesday’s post. He was voted Wing Slayer Worthy, so well call him WSW Candidate.
Now let’s match him up against one of the guys from my new series of ex Marines. Second into the cage is our Military Candidate:
Pull up a chair witches, and lets get this match started! Who do you think will win? Vote now!
Have a great weekend!

Wing Slayer Worthy
I keep running out of time! I don’t know how it’s happening.
I’m working on the building of attraction/chemistry between two characters. Once again I am in my process of back and forth writing that is utterly insane. Let’s not talk about it. I’m too…entrenched and, Wizard would say, addicted to the characters.
So I’m going to throw out a random question. What do you all think of people who have affairs, publicly humiliate their spouse, then write a book about it? I bet you can guess who I’m talking about.
And finally, lets get to our candidate. This guy was on my FB page last week–sorry for the crossover
So what do you think, Wing Slayer Worthy?

Weekend Roundup
On Friday, Biker Witch came out and rescued me from being stranded without a car. We just went out for coffee, but I was so happy to get out of the house!
Finally, we got the car back. Yay!
Otherwise it’s a pretty normal weekend. My web designer sent me a preview of the revised Jenniferapodaca.com page. It’s gorgeous, but not exactly what I want so she’s working on that. That page will be to promote the romance I have coming out from Entangled Publishing March 2013. Still not sure on the title.
My critique partner, Laura, is kicking my butt on the Secret Project. And I love her for it.
I miss Bailey dog! I did get to see him twice last week though. While out there, we took our middle son (G-Force) to dinner. G-Force is a crack up. He was telling the story of a cat coming in Bailey’s back yard.
Bailey went into attack mode and chased the cat.
The cat PUNCHED Bailey right in the face.
Bailey ran off crying. (He was fine, just stunned and humiliated).
Just this summer, Bailey made a rottweiler four times his size cry and cower, but a cat beats him up. Silly dog!
Okay enough of my ramblings, tell me how your weekend went?
