Fantasy and Reality…inspired by Converging Lives the novel

Fantasy and reality side by side grow

Boundaries blur where is the plateau?

The starkness of words translated into pictures

The holes in the substance, filled in, no glitches

Subconscious embellishment start a rosie glow

Bad habits never seen, don’t spoil the show

Endearments uttered are stored in memories box

They are intense and become important, the paradox

She needs emotions stirred, to feel a connection

His drivers different, maybe need inspection

Married to other’s, they met playing a game

Chatting and sharing life in a cyber domain

Shes desperate for love, her happiness compromised

She grabs  affection and excitement, it makes her blind

He is looking for  flirtation moving through lusts revolving door

He enjoys the immediate journey, never requiring more

Intimacy inevitably grows with the sharing

Could be great, if in perspective pairing

She loves that he calls her by that special name

Unaware he calls, all girls the same

He is wrapped up and interested, its no ploy

But soon he will be bored and move on, to another female toy

Her one in a million man will gradually extract

Leaving her devastated  another set back

Fantasy and reality side by side grow

Boundaries blur where is the plateau?

Vulnerability

You have inherent style and grace

A beautiful smile that can light up your face

However insecurity plagues you

Plays on your self esteem

Woman is the giver of life, carries new life’s stream

Society’s expectations weigh heavily on your shoulders

Making you fearful to grow outside of these controllers

Past experience saps your will

Being a woman seems a bitter pill

Being a woman shouldn’t make you vulnerable

You should be able to live in your skin, feeling comfortable

Find your centre, review your assets

Discover self love in all its facets

You deserve the best this world has to offer

Writing urges

Feeling the surges of urges untamed

Thinking the thoughts a little deranged

Warm waves of pleasure wash over my soul

Wanting to surrender and lose control

Allowing the feelings to take over me

Ideas to flow, concepts to be free

Bottling the surges of urges untamed

Shaking them up, till they pop unrestrained

Unleashing ideas onto the page

Polishing and honing becomes a rampage

Allowing the feelings to take over me

New writing born for this moment free

Storm

Cymbals crashing in the sky

Staccato rain blowing by

Grey and dark

The heavens split

Zig zag flashes

Dash and flit

Clouds are roiling, feeling menacing

Sky a muddied yellow, feels threatening

Awesome detonations boom through the air

Count the seconds, till lightenings flare

Hairs on the back of the neck arise

Excitement bubbles no suprise

Storm rampages

Through its stages

Standing in awe

Should I be frightened of its power

Cymbals crash, lightening forks

Natures force, humans ivory tower.

You

You make me laugh you make me smile

You ease my troubles for a while

When the world feels gloomy and my skies feel grey

You help brighten the mood add light to my day

I celebrate the essence of you

Creating a different kind of beauty

Having not yet managed to finish one task and start the next I am today painting silk, writing poetry and planning my next moves in the second Converging Lives series.  Smiling happily. Silk painting is such a relaxing thing to do. Its good for the soul because you have to learn to love your mistakes! The colours will have an added vibrancy when set, ironed and washed.

Life’s cycle

I sit in the corner and ponder my fate

Events overtook me

They just wouldn’t wait

My life has moved slowly

The seasons have passed

I was never lonely

Midst the flowers and grass

I scattered my seed, in the fullness of time

Then grew infirm, with natures decline

Soon came the winter, that robbed me of life

But destiny  gave me a way, to survive

I sit in the corner and ponder my fate

I ask you to come, see my new shape

Although I am changed, please never fear

You can see my full beauty, its a view very dear

From a tree tall and stately, please regard

A, beautiful chair, has been carved.

Concentrate on one task at a time

Concentrate on one task at a time

Prioritise, keep your goals in line

An excellent way to be productive

Keep stress at bay, work more seductive

Works so well for many people

Finish the task less upheaval

So what is it with my butterfly mind

Likes to flit and fly I find

Always been a big picture thinker

Am I kidding myself, is that a sinker

Maybe I am not a completer finisher

Am I my own worse co-conspirator

Organise your daily tasks

Get rid of the dross, thats not a big ask

Concentrate on one task at a time

Umm watching tv whilst writing this line

Writing a book, painting some silk

Reading two books simultaneously and more of that ilk

Concentrate on one task at a time

Prioritise,keep your goals in line

Keep the mantra in my head

Multitasking isn’t yet dead

Finish one task stop this spread

Dont think of the next novel, concentrate on this one instead

Oh woe, way to go!

How to Set Healthy Boundaries

A vital part of healthy relationships

MakeItUltra™

boundaries.jpg “I encourage people to remember that “No” is a complete sentence.” ~ Gavin de Becker

1. Identify current boundary crossers

The first step in setting healthy boundaries is identifying who it is that is the boundary crosser. How does this person make you feel? Most likely, telling this person how you feel will get you no where. They may even get satisfaction from hearing your plea. Remember, it is not uncommon for boundary crossers to be very purposeful in their boundary crossing behavior. This means they often know that they are doing it! If you feel taken advantage of, oppressed or bullied, it is important to make the conscious decision to change how you are interacting with them. Keep in mind, none of this will happen overnight. But, it definitely won’t happen unless you decide with the utmost conviction that something needs to change.

2. Consider how your past influences your present
Were you taught to set healthy boundaries? If…
