Comments on Hustling, Rushing
Some of you have been kind enough to like the poem. Although one of my friends had this to say.
“Good…just…hustling used twice….The word ..annoys…doesn’t fit comfortably.”
“Hmm…The annoys…means it’s a noun? Surely the noun is annoyances?”
So I made an adjustment and took out annoys and replaced the line.
Version 2.
Rushing, rushing
Frenetically hustling
Life is busy, full of strife
Where can I find the simple life?
Bustling, hustling
Ever tussling
No time to listen
Watch the world glisten
I need a space
To slow my pace
Savour the joys
Ditch antagonised
Centre myself
Count my wealth
Where can I find the simple life?
Inside myself, if no contrive
Finding a balance
Maybe semantics
Look at the mechanics
Life is too short not to enjoy.
Would anybody care to comment ?

Dream lost….Dream found
Today my dream seems set to rust
Think it’s past it, reduced to dust
Gossamer threads colour my day
Looking at a horizon layered in grey
Sure the dark is pulling me in.
Hold my dreams, in my hand
Sift through their hues, there a bright strand
Hold that strand towards the light
Twinkling green, then pink, burning bright
Sure the dark is starting to spin.
Twist it round the layers of grey
Life moves on, learn from yesterday
Pick out the issues learn from mistakes
Grasp the new thread with renewed faith
Sure the dark is starting to dim.
Know that some dreams wither away
Hold that fledgling dream and weigh
Twist those colours new bright strand
Hope rebuilt in my hands
Sure the darkness didn’t win.

Hidden relationship
That ideal relationship just out of reach
The kind that all the songs and prophets preach
Have I just got scales in my eyes
Stopped seeing the best, the love in the guy
Has it just got layered in dust
Melded down with layers of rust
I assume that I know all there is to know
Stopped seeing the sparks and caring so
Have my expectations got in the way
That ideal relationship just out of reach
Maybe it’s there if I don’t overreach
Look at the whole
Search life on a scroll
Pull it apart
Maybe test, my treacherous heart
Get out the duster, scale the rust
Look hard at my lover, try or bust.

Starting over.
Can you match me measure for measure
Will you be master of my pleasure
Can you pull me out of this Web of apathy
Save me from from feelings bordering on insanity
New love ,new feelings
Exciting romance expunge past dealings
Trying to trust and believe anew
Fragile buds unfurl to view.

Code Mystic, Worded and Chosen
Word choice is mind’s metaphysical dance,
Synchronous meanings, serendipitous chance,
Rhymes commanding the ilk of art’s deity,
Inevitable, insouciant, sparked spontaneity;
Where does it come from, whither this flow?
Of purpose, of cadence, of rhythm to know
Life’s secrets revealing in semantic unravel,
Poetic transcendence, synaptic-flashed travel
Across eons of light, microcosmic transmission
Of purpose, of code mystic, a riven emission
Of truth…worded and chosen.

Reviving other passions.
Writing seems to have consumed my life
Other interests I need to revive
So today I have combined
Words and passions of other kinds
I suppose this should have been haiku
As I painted Chinese silk, but not an issue
Painted silk with bees
My creative buds to tease.
