I think I have run out of ideas now, I don’t even think walking naked with sandwich boards is going to get Caught in Passion downloaded much more. I think it is more likely to get me banged up in clink.

I need to get back to finishing the second part of the Converging Lives series and to mastering the Intricasies of improving my website.

This writing business is a time consuming occupation.

It’s been an interesting weekend trying to give away the book. I love writing verse and wanted to compile a small anthology for the pleasure of doing so. I thought Valentine’s weekend would be a good time to release it free. I have done my homework and realise that poetry doesn’t sell well, so I wasn’t expecting a book that would go rocketing up the scales, I just hoped that it would be a chance to share my work more widely. That I have achieved I think. I am actually over the moon to have reached 50 downloads, 100 was always a tad ambitious but we all need our goals.

I don’t know if I have used the right strategies to get my book out there but I have tried some angles and I have learnt lots about promotion over the weekend. I know lots of bloggers write poetry and we visit each others blogs for the joy of reading different view points and styles it is always awesome. Maybe blogging is the best way.

I have showered twitter with meme and reminders over the weekend and I am learning how to improve the meme I think. I have posted and nagged on here, this will be the last one honest! I have posted on Facebook and posted on good reads it has kept me engaged over the weekend. I have checked the download figures ….too frequently and been excited at every new download. I know sad!

An unexpected side effect has been some sales for Converging Lives which really were a bonus.

Writing books is the easy bit getting them into the public arena much more difficult.

So thank you all of you who decided to try Caught in Passion I hope you find a verse or two that speak to you. Thank you everybody that follow me on Converging Lives ,Twitter and Face book for putting up with a bombardment of adverts for Caught in Passion will revert to normal traffic now.
