Bow To Christ

Ephesians 3:14

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

Christians should bow to their knees before Christ because he is the King of Kings. They should never bow down and give into the world and what it calls politically correct. There will be days that your own family will rise against you and attack you for this. Just remember when you choose faith over everything else, you have the word of God on your side. Let them be mad. Stay true to your faith and only bow down to Jesus.

Peacemaker

Matthew 5:9
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

What is a peacemaker? They are so much more than what we see them as. A peacemaker is that person you can punch in the face, and instead of hitting you back, they pray for you. They are the people who tell other to stop talking about people behind their backs. They are the ones who do everything they can to stop arguments from becoming fights. They focus more on listening to God than men. A peacemaker does not try to divide a congregation but instead does everything to unite it. So, are you a peacemaker? If you are a Christian, you should strive to be one.

Tell Them The Reason

Luke 2:10-11

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Today, kids woke up and ran to the tree, parent smiled as they watched their childrens eyes light up, and they smiled as those children hugged them. We do this every year because the greatest gift was not bought at a store, nor was it made by the hand of man. It was not fine jewels or gold. The greatest gift was a he, and he is the Lord Jesus Christ. I urge you to take five minutes and tell your children the story of Christ. Before you say that is silly and it doesn’t matter, remember you mattered enough for him to leave the thrown room of heaven to be born flesh to one day die to give us eternal life. So, always remember and teach your children that we celebrate Christmas because of Jesus Chirst. MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Let It Go

Ephesians 4:31-32

31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Have you ever watched the movie Frozen? Most parents have had to endure it and find ourselves singing along to let it go. Well, that is what we need to do with all of these things, let them go. Stop holding a grudge, stop getting mad at people, stop talking about people, and stop trying to get even. Just let it all go, let God wash them all away. Let your spirit lead over your flesh and let go of all the things that are bringing you down.

Pray For Those Out In The Weather

Proverbs 19:17
17 He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again

There are many out there who are less fortunate. It has been cold, and we need to pray they find warmth. We need to pray that God protects those who do not have a place to lay their heads. If you have four walls and a roof, you have it better than some. If you have a warm coat, you are blessed more than others. Pray that God help them in need. If God tells you to help, then help. Don’t look down on them. Help them as God has laid it upon your heart to do. Most of all, continue to pray for those in this cold weather.

Be Ready When The Time Comes

Matthew 25:13

13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

One thing that bugs me is when I stop to pick someone up and I have to wait on them. Even though I had told them what time I was picking them up, they were not ready. Jesus is telling us that one day, we will be meeting him. One day, he is coming for you. You don’t have to dress nice or fix your hair, all you have to do is be ready. You will never k ow when the day is coming, so you need to be ready at all times, because one day he will call your name.

Saved In A Dark Place

Acts 16:27-28

27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.

Paul and Silas did not care that they were chained up in prison. They knew that God had put them there for a reason. They got to show that God will set the captive free and were able to lead the prison guard to Jesus. So, know that at the darkest place, God has led you there for a reason.

Servant Of God

Romans 6:22

22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

When you hear someone say that they would rather rule in hell than serve in heaven, it breaks your heart. They see Christians as people who never have fun, but they miss the fact that we do not need the things of the world to smile or to have fun. Yea, we are servants of God, but that is not like people think. We are freed from sin, freed from fear, and freed from fearing death itself. Christians are happy to serve God . By the way, there is no ruling in hell, only eternal torment.

Proudest Moment

3 John 1:4

4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

Growing up, I remember my father saying he would be more proud of my brothers and I serving God than winning a Super Bowl. Now, as a father myself, I realize what he meant. I watch my children as they grow and cannot wait for the day that they give their heart to the Lord. I am proud of them for the things they do, but to know that they have accepted Jesus will be the proudest moment a father can feel. So, when your children make this decision in life, if it is not the proudest moment you feel as a parent, you may want to check and make sure that you are close to God yourself.

A 1 Year Old And His Apple

Genesis 27:36

36 And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?

When I got home from work today, I was met by my 1 year old son holding an apple that was almost as big as his head. I noticed he had dropped it on the floor because it was dirty. I took the apple from him and was going to peel him another one. Chaos immediately erupted and I was chased through my house by a 1 year old child determined to get his apple back. That determination is what Christians need to have when the enemy tries to take your blessing. Just like the little knee-high child, get to the point that when the enemy tries to take what God has blessed you, chase him down and take it back.
