Not Welcome At Home

Luke 4:24

24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.

All of us have a life that we lived before we came to Christ. All of us made mistakes. Some of those mistakes were pretty bad. It does not matter how big of a change you go through there will be people who never let your past go. They will never forget who you were and will never look at who God has made you into. They will never listen to your testimony, but don’t let that stop you. God may have a place for you out of your hometown. He may lead you across the country. Sometimes, you have to leave the past along with your hometown.

Don’t Place Your Trust In Material Things

Psalms 20:7

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

People will put their trust in their new car, but it will eventually break down. They put their trust in their new homes, but a storm can still destroy it. Don’t put your faith in the material things of this world. Put your trust in the one thing that never breaks down and never changes. Put your trust in Jesus Christ.

HE KNOWS

Nahum 1:7

7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

God knows our every thought. He knows what is truly in our hearts. That is why when we say we trust in him for our needs, he knows if that is true or not. God knows which ones he told to take the leap of faith, who would make that leap and not think twice if God was going to catch them. So, if you are struggling with having faith, don’t lie and say that you fully trust God, because he knows already knows the truth.

Never To Tired To Worship

Psalms 122:1

1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.

When we get ready for church, my four year old is always the most excited. He loves going to church more than anything. He smiles as soon as we pull into the parking lot. It does not matter how tired he is. Why can’t adults be like that. Why do adult Christians let the week drag us down until we dread going to worship? Kids can go to school all week, get little sleep, and still be happy in church. We need to be like them and be happy to walk into the house of the Lord.

Let The Anger Go

Matthew 5:21-22

21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

I have three older brothers. Growing up, we would become angry with one another, but then the same day made amends. To this day, we have never become angry at one another for a long time. We always find a way to get over our problems. No matter how great the argument is or whatever caused us to be angry, we work it out. Thks is how we must be as Christians. We get angry for some of the silliest reasons at our brothers and sister in Christ. We will set on the church pew mad at them, and we never realize that anger is causing problems with other members in the congregation. Let it go. Now, before people say that I don’t understand what they have done, you are right. I may not know, but I do know that before Christ gave up the spirit on the cross, he asked God to forgive the ones who had just beaten and tortured him.

Stand Up For Your Child

Proverbs 22:15

15 Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him

Today I saw an article where children are falling into the mindset that they can be what ever they want to be part of the alphabet soup group, transgender, or even some kind of animal and that their parents cannot do anything about it. They get this idea from some lunatic on social media. Parents, if you stand on the bible and know that this thought process is evil, there is something you can do. You are their parents, and they live under your roof. If it is something they are watching on social media, simply take their phone. If it is someone who is at the school, you have the right to have the school to keep that person away from your child. Nothing in the law of the land says you have to give them a phone or let them have friends you don’t agree with. You don’t have to let them watch what everyone else is watching. Stand firm on your faith. The world wants your child to turn against the bible and follow some watered-down version of Christianity. You are responsible for teaching the true word of God.

People Who Divide

Jeremiah 23
1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.

2 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord.

There are people out there who love to cause division within the church. They love being able to run between the groups, keeping them mad at others, and they never stop to see that they never stop to realize the person telling them things are the problem. If you are one of these people, you need to stop. If you have one of these people in your congregation or standing behind the pulpit, do not listen to their words of division and pray that God touches their heart.

We Are One

Galatians 3:28
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Romans 2:11
11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

God made us all. He made everything on this earth for us. He created the air so we could breathe, the food for us to eat, and the water for us to drink. He did this because he loves us. It doesn’t matter where you are from or what ethnicity you are, God loves you. He does not care if you are rich or poor. He loves you. Put race aside, put your social status aside, and anything else that you think divides us and know that when you accept Christ, you become one family. Once you accept him all that matters is the blood of Christ.

Battle Of The Flesh And Spirit

Galatians 5:17

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Everyday there is a war that rages in each of us. The flesh craves the world, and the spirit will crave God. That war never ends until the day we close our eyes in death. The question is, which part of you is the strongest? Is your spirit stronger than your flesh or will you give into the desires of the world? If your spirit cannot overcome your flesh, then you need to pray and strengthen the spirit. The spirit has to be stronger than the flesh. It has to be close enough to God that when the flesh tries and make you pursue the things of to God that the spirit can overcome it. This battle will get easier the closer to God you are. Always make sure that you stay close enough to God that the flesh and its lusts never win.

Male And Female

Genesis 5:2

2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

Mark 10:6-7

6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

Congress passed a bill that says the federal government recognizes same sex marriage. People are excited and think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I think it is a sad day. The government can say it is okay, but my Bible still reads that it is an abomination. God created man and woman. That is the only way you get a husband and wife. Marriage is defined by God as a husband, a man, a wife, and a woman, to be true. The world can twist and change it to whatever they see fit, but Jesus said that he did not come to do away with the law nor the profits but to make them so. The Bible verse out of Mark was Christ defining marriage. So don’t try to say Jesus is okay with same sex marriage. Christians should not agree nor condone this lifestyle and perversion of marriage. It is not of God, and the day will come when the people who agreed with it and condoned it will stand before God and answer for going against his word.
