Brief Update

Life is unbelievably full and good. My twins (Katelyn and Daniel) and Jonathan are keeping me very busy, especially with the Christmas season coming.
This year is especially important since Jonathan is just getting to the age of understanding a bit of what this is all about. He still parrots what we tell him, like last year, but this year he is beginning to try things out. As we teach him the real meaning of Christmas, I find myself challenged to do the best communication job I can for him. It is a special experience.
This year is special because it is my babies' first Christmas, but it is also special because of a good friend of mine. She is a mother of three also. Her children are only a few years older than my clan. She was very helpful with Jonathan during my pregnancy with the babies. Just a few weeks ago, she received the devastating news that she has cancer. As a result, I have been spending a great deal of time praying for her and her family while I thank the Lord for my own health and family. God has a purpose in all things, and it is always for good. If you would like to drop her an encouraging word, her name is Kerri and her blog is testament to the Lord's provision and grace.
Please count your blessings as you thank the Lord for all the wonderful things He has given you this special season.
Also, please stop over Musings of a Writer for news of how the return to writing is coming.

First Steps Toward Writing Again...

I was just poking around and stumbled across this text analyzer. For fun I stuck in part of Zezilia's story Living Sacrifice and came up with this result:

I write like
Dan Brown

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

Hmm... Maybe I should contact his publisher about Living Sacrifice and see if they agree.

When I stuck in a portion of Wren Romany, I got:

I write like
Vladimir Nabokov

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

Hmm... I have ne...

Pregnancy Update

I know it is odd to have a pregnancy update on a writing and publishing blog, but I wanted to keep you all a bit in touch with what is going on even when it isn't writing related. The twins and I are growing bigger everyday. They are healthy and doing everything right on schedule, which is wonderful. I am getting more awkward everyday as I grow larger to accommodate them. The health concerns that have followed me through this whole pregnancy are largely manageable, but occasionally get ou...

Long Time Between Posts

Hello all! It has been a while since I have posted. Sorry about that. I haven't been able to spend much time on anything but the absolute necessities of life right now as I prepare for the arrival of my twins in May.

I do have at least one event coming up: my guest visit to http://authorroastandtoast.blogspot.com/ on January 9th, 2010. I know it is only December, but the time is flying fast, especially with Christmas right around the corner.

Other than that, I have been laying low and trying to...

Living Sacrifice's Story Opening

I submitted a slightly modified excerpt for Living Sacrifice to 2009 Scarlet Boa . It is a contest to write "an impossible-to-ignore opening to a paranormal story." My entry is #22. I would be delighted if you would stop by and vote for it. If you think a different one is better, I will not be offended. The entries are at http://www.stellacameron.com/entries.html. To vote, go to http://www.stellacameron.com/scarletboavote.html.

Thank you,

Interviewing Brice

Greetings this is Saria Jane, Character Interviewer here on Rachel Rossano's Words, coming to you from inside the walls of the Kiylin, the fortress and home of King Jenran of Braulyn. At the moment, most of the area is deserted because of the battle happening outside the walls. However, I was able to track down Darius' wife, the beautiful Brice and she has promised us a few moments of her time to discuss her situation and her husband.
