In fact, I sort of live in the story I'm writing (or it may be the other way around). This can be a problem when I start calling my loved ones the names of my characters, or forget where I'm driving, or miss appointments. That's why there are tablets all around my house, in the car, in my purse. Ideas come from everywhere. It's like the world, the clouds, dogs, strangers in weird hats want to tell me stories, if only I would listen. If my inspiration ever wanes, there is always poetry. Life can be difficult with all its demands, but everything external disappears in the quest for the perfect word, sound, and meaning of what I am writing. There are no limitations when it comes to the imagination. But we do have to rein it in to a degree. I love the sharing part. (less)
