In fact, I sort of live in the story I'm writing (or it may be the other way around). This can be a problem when I start calling my loved ones the names of my characters, or forget where I'm driving, or miss appointments. That's why there are tablets all around my house, in the car, in my purse. Ideas come from everywhere. It's like the world, the clouds, dogs, strangers in weird hats want to tell me stories, if only I would listen. If my inspiration ever wanes, there is always poetry. Reading poems is a good way to get into the zone. And meditation. And muffins.(less)

Life can be difficult with all its demands, but everything external disappears in the quest for the perfect word, sound, and meaning of what I am writing. There are no limitations when it comes to the imagination. But we do have to rein it in to a degree. I love the sharing part. (less)

Magnificent review by Pratibha Malav!!

Robin Gregory’s “The Improbable Wonders of Moojie Littleman” is a heartwarming and deeply imaginative tale that weaves together magical realism, mysticism, and the universal quest for belonging. This award-winning debut introduces readers to Moojie Littleman, an orphan with physical disabilities and a mysterious destiny, whose journey is as extraordinary as it is moving.

"The story has a very imaginative core, especially in how it handles Moojie’s abilities and perceptions. His experiences blur the line between imagination and something more real, and the book never fully explains it in a straightforward way. That amb" Read more of this review »

"What I found most interesting was the theme of belonging. From the very beginning, Moojie is placed in situations where he does not quite fit, whether with the villagers, his family, or later in life. That sense of being an outsider is constant and s" Read more of this review »

How strange a world, how strange an existence, that one’s equal must argue for one’s equality, that one’s equal must hold a station that allows airing of that argument, that one cannot make that argument for oneself, that premises of said argument must be vetted by those equals who do not agree.

Bartleby, the Scrivener by Herman Melville
Nippers, the second on my list, was a whiskered, sallow, and, upon the whole, rather piratical-looking young man of about five and twenty. I always deemed him the victim of two evil powers—ambition and indigestion.
