Hey Anna! Any suggestions for really good summer reads or reads in general? I'm currently reading 'This Side of Paradise' by F. Scott Fitzgerald to give you an idea of suggestions. Thanks in advance!

You can see a bigger list of my favorite books/books I’d recommend here.

I haven’t read This Side of Paradise yet, but I love F. Scott Fitzgerald! That’s a classic. If you’re into other classics, in the list I liked above I discuss a lot of Russian writers and their works - those are my favorite! - so I would definitely check those out.

Otherwise, I think Mary Kubica’s books are amazing summer reads! Pretty Baby just released last month, it’s a serious page turner, really psychological and deep. I’m also reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo series at the moment, the fourth one comes out next month!

I know it’s not a classic or even fiction, but I can’t say enough good things about Wild by Cheryl Strayed. I’ve read it twice now, and I’m sure I’ll return to it again.

Maybe I should mentioned that I think there’s a fall read you might really enjoy… it’s by someone you might know :) THIS!

I hope that helps! Happy reading!

Anna

A Perfect Slice Of Writing For 20-Somethings

Do not consume me. When you meet me, walk side by side with me up the rocky path.

Stray with me through the brushes; I will let you convince me it is a real path. I will stay up all night with you to find our way back when we realize it is not.

Do not let me consume you. Tell me everything you like and disklike but do not let my likes and dislikes become yours. Let me climb the rock, then guide me down when my legs start trembling at the descent. And when we watch the sunrise from the top, describe it to me the way you see it, not the way you think I want to see it.

And I will smile.

I wanted to share this lovely piece from one of my dearest and best friends, Liza (dressed-in-daydream)! You can see more of her work on her Instagram.

Stray with me. Sometimes we all need a little reminder!

What time do you normally wake up in the morning, even on weekends? Werid question, but I'm a morning person and I'm trying to see when other fellow morning people wake up so I don't feel like a crazy person. I like to rationalize my weirdness as an early

Hi anon,

Morning people have to stick together! We’re a rare breed.

To make it to the gym before work I wake up at 6:30, mon-fri. On the weekends I let myself “sleep in,” I typically make it to about 8 or 8:30.

No need to rationalize, we’re just in tune with the energy around us and wake up with the sun! It’s a beautiful thing.
