A Perfect Slice Of Writing For 20-Somethings

Do not consume me. When you meet me, walk side by side with me up the rocky path. 

Stray with me through the brushes; I will let you convince me it is a real path. I will stay up all night with you to find our way back when we realize it is not.

Do not let me consume you. Tell me everything you like and disklike but do not let my likes and dislikes become yours. Let me climb the rock, then guide me down when my legs start trembling at the descent. And when we watch the sunrise from the top, describe it to me the way you see it, not the way you think I want to see it.

And I will smile.
