It's out!

The third and final book in the Small Medium series is out!

Ah, what a relief. Now I have a few days to rest, before leaping into the next project...

Hm? Oh, you can find the book at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SPQDPMH

This was a blast to write! Got one of the best epic fight scenes I've done, I think...

Storms and thoughts

I went out for lunch today.

When I got back, the power was out. Didn't think much of it at the time.

Then the hours passed, and passed, and passed, and the power company kept pushing our fix time back.

The storm rolling through complicated things. But the end result was a disruption of the routine, the one I've been building for months.

It gave me time to think.

Couldn't work, couldn't write with all the power out. Just me and my thoughts, and a little light reading.

Four months it's been, since I started this path.

I have no regrets.

My routine is more of a suggestion than a hard rule.

And I'm happy.

I'm home for my wife and my daughter more often.

We might not have as much money to toss around, but we've got more time to enjoy what we have.

For now, our basic needs are met. We're doing that well enough... I haven't had to go to emergency stations yet. Gods willing I won't.

And if we hit a patch of major prosperity, we're good to go. One good series, or one major spike like last year, and we're set. We're golden.

This was the right choice.

I'll have to work twice as much tomorrow to make my next planned release date, but whatever. It's work I can do. It's work I love.

This is good.

Not perfect, but it doesn't have to be. It's good enough.

Small Medium 2 is out!

Sing hallelujah and stone the crows, that's another one down...

...and this one is GOOD. This is the first book I've written since I started as a full-time writer, and I can say without hubris that I think it shows. This is a quality book.

It ties into my bigger plans for Generica. It, Threadbare, and one more series will all combine together to show what's REALLY going on in this weird world, and just how much trouble everyone is in.

Anyway, thanks to Amazon's alacrity the book is available right now at

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P2PGY4G

Also it has a wrestler called The Muscle Wizaard. He gets to suplex werewolves. Go check it out!

2019...

And here we are.

After much work, much patience, and many books, I am now a full-time writer.

I've been busy.

The more I write, the greater a chance I have of making this work.

So, that' hasn't left as much time for blogging. But never fear, I'll get back into the habit.

I've also been experimenting with Patreon… with some success, actually.

But from here on? If you don't hear from me, odds are I'm working on the next book.

The current series is called Small Medium, and it's a follow-up to Threadbare. A side-story that takes place in a different part of the world, with new characters.

Eventually, the series will intersect, but there's much to do, first.

The first book, "Small Medium: Big Trouble" is out already, and if things go to plan the second one will release later in this month.

The third one? April, most likely.

After that? I have options. It may be time to revisit Bunker Core...

No rest for the wicked!

Happy Holidays! Yeesh, I've been quiet for a while.

Quiet. And busy!

In three days Dire:Time gets released in audiobook format. Which is pretty damn awesome!

But more than that, I'm happy to say that hard work has paid off, and my next ebook is now out early!

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LDFSPFW/...

It's another LitRPG, like Threadbare. It's set in the same world, and stars another unlikely protagonist... and it will reveal secrets that will shake the world to its core!

That's the hope, anyhoo. At any rate, I got it finished before Christmas, so my duty's done.

See you around! Enjoy holiday time with your loved ones, because I know I will!

Audio update and Patreon

Evening, all!

My audiobook producer continues their exemplary work; Dire:Seed will be out come 20 November in audio format. After that, Dire:Time should follow on 18 December. And the last three will come one per month, through January, February, and March if all goes to plan.

Also! I have caved into demand, and started a Patreon. I'm experimenting with this business model... I'll be putting a story up there, bit by bit. Eventually the story goes out to other fiction sites, but each segment will go to the Patreon first.

So... if you're patient you can read the full story over time for free. (Until I take it down, anyway.) Or you can pay the Patreon $3 and get access to it first. OR you can wait until the story gets turned into a book and published.

I didn't know about this, to begin with. But enough of my readers asked me for something like this that I've decided to give it a whirl. So we'll see how it goes.

Such a busy holiday... next on the agenda? Lining up the print copy of Bunker Core. Time to see if I can get this ready before Black Friday...
Seems fair to me, really.

Another good day!

I'm twenty five thousand words into the follow-on to Threadbare, kicking back and enjoying cool fall weather...

...and oh yeah, the audiobook for Dire:Born came out today.

https://www.amazon.com/Dire-Born-Saga...

Life is good. Life is VERY good. Not three years after my first book hit the market, it's out in all three major formats.

Well.

Back to writing. Let's see if I can hit 26K words today before I call it a night...

Full Circle

It's been a busy month... and it's about to get busier!

Things have come full circle; thanks to Threadbare's success, the Dire Saga will get an audiobook version.

The first one's up for pre-order now...

Bunker core release day!

Bunker Core is out!

This one is a bit of an indulgence for me. It's a tribute to some of my favorite, long-gone authors. Lots of easter eggs, in this one.

That is all. It's a relief to have it finally done and settled.

Oh, yeah, it's here by the way...

End of Summer days...

Whew! It's been a while!

A few days back I finished up the roleplaying game for Threadbare. It's called Generica Offline, and it's awesome. The game itself isn't especially complicated, but the sheer number of character options available are guaranteed to please.

It's available from my mailing list. Anyone who signs up gets access to both it and a Teslaverse short story.

That was a LOT of work for a mailing list freebie, though. Fortunately I've got another book coming this month. It's called Bunker Core, and it's post-apocalyptic sci-fi set in the far future. Nanotech and downloaded brains and all sorts of good things!

...and yes, another amnesiac protagonist. I swear, this is the last one in that trope for me for a while, guys. And it's a rocking action-filled story, so I think I can be forgiven that.

We'll see how it does. I've got another book in Threadbare's world set next, but if Bunker Core draws enough interest, I may do that one first. I've been half a year without a formal release... (well, I've had audiobooks, those DO count, so...)

Regardless, it's time to get that wheel spinning again!
