Close – #A-ZPoetry
.
In the quiet hours
When willows sigh in the evening shades,
When moonlight slumbers within the trees
And lush tranquility raises her head
To gaze lovingly upon the restless,
Draw Close, my love,
Warmth imbuing Serenity,
Embrace instilling Security,
Touch Speaking Gently;
Draw Close,
Breathe Soft,
Allowing the unobtrusive Hush
To Share All Your Heart Feels
Close.

Gate – #writephoto #FlashFiction
.
Cold and bleak, the gate stood, waiting. Harbinger of the lost; temple of the Unseen, it yawned in the void of the lifeless living among the living. Spectral silence whispered round its ancient stones, sending shivers in spite of the hope about which it spoke: the possibility that life extended beyond life.
They stood gazing at its perplexing iron and stonework, confused and misled. Long they had thought the avenue of light would lead them directly onward, but standing in the slanting shadows they began to understand. Moving ahead or lingering, dead, was entirely their choice.
It always had been.
.
Written in response to the #writephoto writing challenge posted by Sue Vincent today. A Photo that immediately spoke to me. Thank You Sue!

OH – #Love #Poetry
OH
This Love
This Love that Yearns
Burns
Cries out in the empty night
OH
This Love
This Love that Longs
Wakeful
Waiting for the Touch of Your Hands
OH
Your Hands
Your Exquisite Hands
Spellbinding
That Draw me Ever closer to Your Heart
OH
Your Heart
Your Heart Once Mine
Shattering
In the Lonely Void without This Love
OH
This Love
This Love that Yearns
Burns
Cries out in the empty night

#WritingforWriters Wednesday – Bland – #Poetry from A-Z
.
As the Quiet
Filters into the Subconscious
Through ripples of Gently unspoken
Paradoxes;
Reaching without Grasping,
Touching without Clasping,
Caressing the Essence
With an Ethereal Balm
that Lingers
In Ripples of Gentleness,
Speaking Unspoken Quiet
From the Realms of Bland
Into Fertile Land,
Inspiration Sings
To the Soul who looks Beyond.

Passage – Transfixed – #FlashFiction
.
Cascading sparks of crimson cooled to lush indigo-violet hues as his gaze focused again upon her and as he stared, she began to whisper once more. Softly trepidatious, her voice called to him across the distance that remained between them; yet the sound was brazenly close and his heart hammered in response.
The laughing star-beings returned to their remote locale, watching attentively as he closed the gap between him and the lissome figure outlined against the horizon. Her whispers became softer as he drew closer; then paused as he stepped from the distance into closeness.
She stared at him; transfixed.

#FridayFictioneers – Repetition – #100WordStories
.
Turning began as some of the hardest work she had ever done, round and round; round and round; the repetition creating soreness that seeped into bone. ‘Creation takes skill and effort’ the wizened woman told her before leaving her with the stones; ‘skill and effort, repeating, repeating.’
Grinding the harvest into useful fodder, she sat amid the stones, turning one, then the other; the effort of gleaning something valuable honing and reshaping not only the kernels of possibility, but her self as well. Turning, turning, muscles burning, skill and effort gleaning true.
Creation: art that blends hard work with faith.
.
Every Wednesday we get a new picture prompt for the Friday Fictioneers, a writing challenge to spin a tale of exactly 100 words, graciously hosted by Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. This is my contribution.

#WritingforWritersWednesday -Aplomb- #Poetry from A-Z
.
So Wordless Wednesdays have gotten a bit too, well, wordless for me; so I decided to change things up and create my own Wednesday theme – WritingforWriters Wednesdays. What is this new theme, you ask with justifiable curiosity? Rather self explanatory, really, but simply put, on Wednesdays for the foreseeable future I shall seek out Writing Challenges or Prompts and test my Writing skills &/OR offer a Writing Challenge or Prompt for any Writer who also feels inclined to Write for Writing’s sake, as it were. So to start things off Audrey Dawn from Oldest Daughter & Red headed Sister invited me to join her in writing from A-Z, a Writing Challenge she accepted by invitation of Sharon Bonin Pratt
This is my “A”.
Aplomb
Stare
Staring Unbroken
Gazing
A Token Treasure
A Measure of Aplomb;
Gaze
Gazing Unrestricted
Watching
Addicted, thoroughly Convicted,
The Leisure of Aplomb;
See
Seeing Completely
Perceiving
Discretely Surveying
Obeying the Bravado of Aplomb.

Entangled – #RomanticTuesday #Love #Poetry
.
Hush, My Darling
Whisper soft
Set your Dreams
Soaring high Aloft
Hush, Sweet Love
Sigh Deeply
Entangled
With my Love
Sweetly
Hush, My Love
Drink in this
Shivering Rush
Lavish your senses
In Passion’s Blush
Hush, Beloved
Tremble with me
Exploring
Love’s Realm
Of Delicious Intrepidity

Delicate Touch – #RomanticTuesday #Love #Poetry
.
Delicate Touch,
Whisper of Breath,
As my Pounding Heart
Dims the rest.
Softly Spoken,
Brazen Intention,
Velvet of Night,
Misguiding Intervention.
Subtle, Tremulous,
Deliberate Ruse,
Intoxicating Embrace,
O, Conspire and Confuse!

#MusicandMuseMonday – Pawn – #Dark #Poetry
.
Writhing Spirals of ebon night
Entrance into a Tantric sight
Embellished within the Tapestry of my thoughts
Where rhythms Perch like daggers
Caught
Cascading in the ribbon of Seductive Night
Delirious trajectory Conforming
Contrite
Begging Forgiveness as the blade falls
Whispering Serration of Echoing calls
As I plummet through the Vast Unknown
What I once was; Now no longer Shown
Wings held close
Unutilized
Falling from Light
Paralyzed
Mesmerized
Chastised
Despised
Lost in the quicksilver Agony of Shame
Forgotten Pawn in an endless game.
.
