Present Pauses – #Love #Poetry

Sweet and Splendid is the Vision of You, Love.

My heart knows no other,

But Truth will Speak in mortal tones

And Lapse in silence upon the Morrow.

When if, Perchance, Hope strays from me,

Twill ne’re again come to my eye,

That One as Beautiful as Thee,

Should fill my heart with Smiles.

Chance is but a Token Treasure,

Love is Faithful, Patiently,

When my heart Beats, but for You,

Present Pauses for Eternity.

#FridayFantasy – The Abyss – #FlashFiction

She gazed deeply into the shroud of ethereal mist dancing between the void and the glass.  Pressing inward, she filled her mind with emptiness, questing for the unknown.  Within the sphere of timelessness she held betwixt her hands, shadows spun upon what might be tangible or only observable and she delved further, submersing herself into the ocean of vast possibility, waiting.

Within the glass, bright viridian flared intensely, then sparkled into misty haze once more. The first sign.  She had touched what she sought, though it had momentarily escaped her.  Focusing on the colour through which the intended target had spoken, she pierced the hollow abyss more keenly; asking, pausing, traversing the clouds of spider-web phantasms as she sought.

Beside her, anxious and hesitant together in the same moment, the one who had waited so very long twisted and skittered in a sinuous dance of excitement and agitation.  Soft trills emanated from her core, unable to be constrained, and the sounds filled the glass like lightning on the darkest night.  Instantly, the viridian glory blazed anew; a deep resonant call answering as the vision they both sought poured into perception’s view.

Her Trothed Beloved in all his splendor, winging towards her.

And her heart sang anew.

For Throwback Thursday I thought I’d re-share this and hope to add more of you Beautiful Verses…**I had an Inspiration this morning and I Hope with all my Heart you will Join in and/or Share the Invitation along. I’ve selected an Image from one of my Favourite artists and have written a brief, Opening Haiku about it. Now its your turn! Take a moment to consider what the Image says to you and then Share your Haiku in the comments. I will then ADD your Inspiration the the Chain Haiku, so be sure to include your name at the bottom of your verse. (Then pass the word along. ) Let’s see how many Inspirations we can add to the chain, Creating links that will connect us across the planet.
