In the Eternal Flame of Twilight

Enchantment Sings in Violet hues;

Shifting her Sweetest temperament

As her crimson regalia Dances

And the velvet textures of night Tenderly Imbue.

Pressures melt and anxiety sighs

In the violet Splendour Entrancing the wold;

Supple Tranquility seeping Gently

Gloss and highlight long forgotten

As time Unfolds.

Wisdom Spanning countless Ages,

Witness to a thousand Dreams,

Watching from the Depths of Twilight,

Where Illusion masks more than it Seems.

Wonder of Beloved Creation,

Walking ‘neath your Verdant Tower,

Willows Guarding O’er your Gates,

Wondrous in Viridian Flowers.

Waking to the diminishing Day,

Wanton in her Fragrant scents,

Waning Light that once Held Sway,

The Du Lac Chronicles from Mary Anne Yarde is a new story based on Arthurian Legend and the great historical/fantasy fiction tradition of Bernard Cornwall, C.M.Grey and Kim Headlee.

The Du Lac Chronicles has a recommend reading age of 15+

Historical Fiction that reads as lush and lyrical as Fantasy and as Sweet as Romance, I fell in love with this story before finishing chapter one!  The time period appeals to me as a reader of historical fiction, but the characters came alive, sharing their stories with me and vying for my attention with each turn of the page.  The details were delicious; I could see, taste, feel, hear and yes, even Smell the world I had tumbled into and I felt more like I was on a holiday in a far distant land than simply reading.

Definitely a series to follow and a story I could see easily adapted to tele or movie, I am now invested in the saga and look forward to reading the sequel!

He Sleeps

In Stillness, Like a Dream Breathing;

Captivating my Every Sense with Beauty,

like the Stars of Night,

He Sleeps;

Angel motionless Upon a pillow,

So Enchanting, I dare not close my eyes

Lest I miss one Single Moment while

He Sleeps.
