Time Zone Blues
I have to clear something up for Australians that might be kind of sad for some of you. There seems to be a little confusion about Blood Promise's release date. If you live in Australia, BP (officially) comes out on August 26. I've heard people bracing themselves for the 25th, but when my website says 8/25, that's in the US. Most of Australia runs 16 hours ahead of US time. So, right now as I write this, it's just after 11pm on Sunday the 23rd for me. If you're in Australia, it's Monday the 2

No signed books from U Bookstore while I'm on tour!
Just a quick note regarding the last post. If anyone is still interested in ordering signed books from University Bookstore, please note: they will not be able to ship any autographed books between 8/25 and 9/19. This is because I'll be on tour and unable to stop into the store to sign orders! So, if you want a signed book shipped out before I tour, orders need to be placed by August 24. Orders placed after that will not ship out until the end of September, when I'm back in town and actually ab

Training camp
Many of you have heard me plug University Bookstore as a way to purchase signed/personalized copies of my books. It started off as a small system. Every few weeks, Duane (who oversees this system I've set up with them) would let me know he had an order in. I'd stop by, sign a couple books, and U Bookstore would mail them out. It soon reached a point where he was getting orders every other week that required me to swing by and sign--probably because I started advertising more.

Guest...Twitter?
Well, it looks like
lolcatz's post went over pretty well! In fact, I secretly think some of you like him better than me. But I'm cool with that because I've pretty negligent with this blog lately--so much so, in fact, that I'm passing my duties yet again.
If you're on Twitter, fellow paranormal author and pal Michelle Rowen will be live-blogging over there as she reads Blood Promise today. She promises no spoilers, so it may be a lot of "OMG! I can't believe Rose just did that in Chapter 3!" But

First Guest Blog Ever
Today, for the first time ever on Richelle's blog, I'm letting someone else do the post for me because I'm just so crazy busy. And of course, the only person I'd trust to do it is my own sweet
lolcatz. Today he gives you some handy summaries of each of my series--specifically geared toward men who might be on the fence about whether to pick up my books. I hope my editors are paying attention because we might have some new back cover copy.

No new tale to tell...well, until next week.
I've been totally blank on blog topics these last few days. I know everyone's excited about Blood Promise, but really, there's not much new to report except that it's out in less than a week! We're all just waiting now, and I've got to ask that people keep spoilers out of the comments here if you've gotten a hold of it.
So, just so you know I haven't forgotten you guys, I give you another clip from everyone's favorite heart-warming film, Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus.
San Franciscans, be careful on

This, that, things, and stuff. And a Seattle poll.
So, things are getting a little crazy around here as the official release date for Blood Promise looms closer. After much moping, I now have Australian copies and one US copy of the book in my hands.
lolcatz and I frequently have a saying when we're outside and notice my garden: "That's a good looking flower bed." (And it is the most awesome one in the neighborhood, if I do say so myself). That expression has now been transferred inside whenever we see Blood Promise lying around: "That's a good

If I don't blog, no one will
Sorry for going off the grid this week. I've found I'm staying saner by keeping a low profile. Without me even realizing it, my stress meter dialed up into the red zone recently, and now I feel like I'm just barely staying afloat with all the tasks I have to do before Blood Promise's release and tour! It's all pretty exciting, but it's also funny because I know some of you are wishing the days would speed up. Me? I could use some extra time!
So, I have no coherent post today, just a miscellaneo

All in the family
About eight years ago, I got interested in genealogy. I played with it for a while, found some interesting stuff, and then let it fall by the wayside. A few months ago, I picked it up again, and wow. What a difference eight years makes. The digital age has made so much accessible now, and it's crazy to see your great-great-great grandfather's name on a scanned-in 1850 census.
American history is hard because depending on how far back your family came over, the paper trail can get sketchy when the

Help my friends. There's only so much I can do.
So, in the past, you guys have come to my aid in the various polls that Bitten By Books does for best series, best character, etc. I have been stunned at the response, and I'm so grateful that you guys always turn out to support me. Thank you so much!
Now, I have some friends in need over at Bitten By Books for this week's poll: Funniest Paranormal Authors. Only, I have a problem. I have six friends who are nominated. Clearly, I hang with funny people. But now, I don't know who I'm even going to
