Light, Dark...
To Prove: "In our Darkness we will find the Light."
Observation: In a serpent's own venom is its antivenin, the strongest cure for its bite.

The 30s...
You don't notice it in your 20s. You most certainly don't feel a thing in your teens. But when you hit your 30s, getting up out of bed every day feels like trying to airlift a cargo ship stranded on a coral reef.

Worms...
Funny how we demand justice and kindness from divine forces when we ourselves do not show justice and kindness to each other. When one worm does not let another worm live, how can either of them (killer and victim alike) demand interference from the Farmer.

Peacock Symbolism...
The word 'Mayura' is Sanskrit and goes back thousands of years. The word 'Mayil' is Tamizh and is just as ancient. Where Sanskrit belongs to the Indo-European family of languages, Tamizh hails from a distinct Dravidian line. Whether it's the Vedas or the Shilpashastras, the Indian word for Peacock seemingly resonates in two unique language-families and it, strangely enough, shares similarities with the word 'Maya'. This word is more than just 'Illusion', which is its most commonly attributed meaning. Maya also means 'the supernatural power wielded by gods and demons', and 'the power by which the universe becomes manifest'. Putting the three together, a thread of ancient wisdom seems to connect the sacred Indian Peacock to yet another sliver of sage symbolism. The bird could well symbolise the existence of parallel universes. Much like how the Peacock's feathers are all different in size, placement, and alignment yet similar to one another, much the same can be said of parallel universes; similar yet different. Perhaps the word Maya never truly meant Illusion at all but the existence of multiple universes as created by deific forces. Perhaps the only illusion the word Maya refers to is the fact that we have ended up believing Earth is the only place life exists in the universe. It's also weird that despite 'Mayil' defining a male bird, girl children are often named after it. And the word Maya or Mahamaya also means a 'goddess personifying the power that creates phenomena.'

Script-ditions...
Like holding auditions for screen roles, imagine the Tamizh cinema industry holding 'auditions' for original scripts and stories. Call them 'script-ditions', if you like. People from all over the country and state can walk in carrying fresh and original concepts, narrate their stories from start to finish, perhaps even have another person tag along to cover certain portions of the script. Perhaps new safety clauses can be enforced before the Tamil cinema sector starts accepting scripts written in full or as detailed synopses, submitted from anywhere and everywhere to 'story-casting' directors and/or writers, who will then pore over the scripts that call to them, much like publishers perusing manuscripts from authors, choosing the ones they like, and giving payment and credit where it's due. If all goes well, we may finally see a resurgence in original storytelling for the screen, which can only ever be a good thing in this day and age of 'cut-copy-paste'. there's no dearth of storytellers in TN and India with exceptional tales just waiting to add another gold-leaf to the crown of Tamizh cinema.

Perfectionism...
Seven people entered a room. The first one to do so had a penchant for perfectionism. The others made their way in one after the next. One was rich, the other poor. One was proud, the other humble. One was corrupt, the other compassionate. All seven spent an hour in the room, but only six exited. The police later arrived at the scene of a murder. The victim lay dead in an expanding pool of their own perfection.

Boredom...
Some of us run from boredom.
From some of us, boredom runs.
There are those who intentionally hunt boredom down just to get the satisfaction of killing it.

In a world that is busy taking and taking, the only way to fight back is to give back.
