Two-Fisted Tidy Cats Giveaway

The other day, we got a strange and rather heavy box in the mail. SOMEkitty tried to claim it as hers.

It was from an odd character named Hans Hansenberg who has some .

It turns out he is part of the Tidy Cats team and they have given me some of their premium clumping, multi-cat litter… featuring a new jug with two handles! The Hansenberg guy explains why in this quickie promo:

It actually makes a lot of sense. This jug is a lot easier for humans to handle. Mine was moving it around like it was half its 14-lb. weight.

I am not so sure about this Hansenberg guy, though… especially after my human went to great lengths to make me pose with this arrow pointing at me. If you cannot read it, it says, “The genius of Hans, unveiled!” For some dumb reason, she thought this was funny.

But that’s not important — what is, is that the Tidy Cats humans are letting me give away a new, two-handled jug of this premium cat litter to two lucky blog readers! My Photo Picks for the BlogPaws Nose-to-Nose Nominations

I was going to let my human pick out the photos that she thought were nomination worthy for the BlogPaws “Nose-to-Nose” Social Media and Pet Blogging Awards. But she looked over everything and decided nothing was that good! Well, if that’s what she believes, she has only herself to blame, since she took the photos. Unlike her, I don’t get all emotional and picky, so I had to take over and choose the photos myself.

While every photo of me is amazing, purely because I am in it, the ones I selected are a little bit different from the usual portrait. Yep, it’s that time again: nominations for this year’s BlogPaws Nose-to-Nose Social Media and Pet Blogging Awards are open! The great thing about these particular awards is that “a panel of distinguished professionals” pick the winners, so it is not a popularity contest! Sunday Catinee: Kitty Did NOT Play With It

Have you seen the Friskies “Will Kitty Play With It” campaign? There was a series of videos in which a household item was revealed to a cat to see whether he would play with it. Below is one of the videos:

Well, I was supposed to be part of the campaign, but everything went wrong for me! I didn’t get the box and materials until the week I was supposed to post, and then I did not cooperate… a bunch of times over the course of a couple of weeks. My human only finished editing together what we had just now! So there was no cute video and no fun giveaway. Just a lot of bad outtakes, as you will see below.

Photo Hunt: Steel

This may look like a closeup of an old cat brush, but it is really a closeup of cat bliss! The steel pins of this slicker brush feel awesome and dreamy!

When my human waves this brush in my direction, I come running! (It is about the only thing that will consistently get me running in her direction.)

If she does not start brushing me right away, I will start without her!

You kitties who do not like getting brushed, you are missing out!

But It’s NOT For ME?!

This box is addressed to me, but there is a sticker on it that I think is not right!

It’s from the Brawny Cat Humans, and they say this is for… Binga?

Of course, Binga was going to take full advantage of the situation. My human couldn’t even get it out of the box and she was already all over it.

It is the brand new Sleeky Lounge XL — the new economy style scratch lounge meant for larger cats. We — ugh, I mean Binga — is getting one of the very first ones. You can see it is a lot larger than the original size.

It is 26″ wide and 16″ from front to back, and with 7 lbs. of cardboard, it is twice the density of usual scratch loungers, so it is extra durable. So I guess that means it is good for big, destructive cats like Binga.

See how big it is? You could fit two of me on it — maybe more!

Guess who got the box? Boodie could always use a good, XL-sized box.

Sorry, Binga, you can’t have it all!

Commenthon Results

I want to thank everyone for making my World Spay Day commenthon, and especially my Facebook photo-thon so much fun! Although I said I would close it down at midnight on Tuesday, we weren’t near the maximum, so I let it slide for a little longer. This turned out to be a good thing because a couple of you showed up late… and I still was able to count you!

So here are the totals:

There were 40 comments, and 13 of you ladycats posted your spay photos on my Facebook wall. I really loved the photo-thon, and I think my Facebook fans did too — each photo got lots of views and likes, and even some comments! I will have to do something like this again sometime!

My human will be donating $33 to Fixnation today. But you know what? I think next time I have a commenthon, you guys can do much better! I want to see my human hit her maximum!
