Unsplendid
, a lovely little mag. of received and nonce forms co-edited by fellow OSU alum Jason Gray. I'm pleased because it's live in tandem with its manuscript mate in Poetry this month, both odd-ball, Seuss-inspired sonnets.
Also, some pretty good news I've been sitting on because I believe it's bad luck to count chickens (and in my mind I'm already resigned to finalist status--it won't happen it won't happen--but I'm still totally jazzed about it)...

Many good, good friends are in
THIS
mag and I'm posting it here to a: share with you and b: remind myself to read it when I get home from another day at the art factory. Kudos to Jen Tynes, Editor of Horseless Press, a sassy broad who loves Bob Dylan and Van Morrison about as much as I do: a lot lot.

I'm dubious about my recovery, but it appears to be impending. Let me tell you something: I have NEVER experienced pain like that. I guess I'm ready for childbirth?
On a more positive note, you can find a new poem of mine up on Poetry's website.

Joy of joys!! A new Joanna Newsom album is released tomorrow and I just bought tix to see her in Columbus next month!! If you don't know her (of course you do!) believe me when I tell you she's a genius. I'm not kidding; she's a brilliant poet and composer and, yes, sometimes geniuses are adorable.
Look for the L-Bo review soon.

If you're in Columbus and available to listen tomorrow at 11 am, dear readers, Sophia and I will be reading a few poems and answering some pressing questions in CCAD's Canzani Center auditorium. Come! If you can't make that (and who could blame you), please come out to the Rhumba Cafe in Clintonville to hear a full, rich Sophia set. Plus drinks. Plus laughter.
