This weekend, I had the pleasure of reading Taken by Dee Henderson. I've been reading Dee Henderson since I discovered her O'Malley series. She has a great way of creating characters you are drawn to. You want them to be your friends or wish they were related to you.(I hope I'm not the only one who thinks like that.)And a huge bonus: the characters are always flawed. No perfect people allowed.

A year ago on this day in history, famed Maya Angelou passed away. She showed us the power of her words. The first book I ever read of Maya Angelou's was "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings."
It was the first book she wrote, but she didn't stop there. She wrote books, poems, children's books, screenplays and also recorded an album.
