I learned this morning that my friend Thom Hofman passed away.

He was one of the most talented and inspiring writers I’ve ever known, the kind that makes you envious in a good way. (He also used to work at the penguin enclosure at Sea World and to learn that this gentleman Tom Waits-type was also obsessed with penguins was a marvelous reveal.)

His death has ignited a fire under me to get more of my writing out into the world any possible way I can.

And if you are a writer, I suggest you do the same.

You can read some of his stuff at his blog. And if you are the type that donates to these sorts of things, his family has a GoFundMe set up for a memorial service.
