Ok, I was getting frustrated with my 3yr old and spoke angrily to him. My 4yr old says 'mum, yelling is not the way to show my brother what Is right.'
Hell, yes. All the time, actually. The one that really stood out, though, was something like what you experienced.
I yelled at our dog Lulu for chewing on something she shouldn’t or whatever. Wyatt very calmly said, “Papa, how do you think we feel when you yell at us?”
I said, “I don’t know. How do you feel?”
He said, “We feel scared. So, don’t you think Lulu might feel the same way? Why don’t you try just talking to her.”
It was a one-two punch because he was right, of course, and I knew it had more to do with me and him than with Lulu.

The boys got in trouble for not cleaning their room and lost...
The boys got in trouble for not cleaning their room and lost some privileges. So, they put this sign on their door to make me feel bad. Nice try, fellas.

A mother dangled her son over the railing of a cheetah pit at the Cleveland Zoo, then accidentally dropped him.
So just remember, no matter how shitty you may feel as a parent sometimes, at least you’ve never dropped your kid into a cheetah pit.
