Taxes as a product?
Oh how we love tax season. First comes the business taxes for business owners in March and then the personal income tax in April . I am happy to report I am not paying my taxes on April 15th this year.
Call it a sheer stroke of luck but because of a holiday, Emancipation day or something tax procrastinators can unite tomorrow, I mean April 18th. And if you are from Maine or Massachusetts unite day after tomorrow, April 19th and the reason again is another holiday, it's Patriot day in those states.
I have always wondered how is it that when someone wants my money they make me work for it, they make me spend hours filling forms. The main form even has a fancy name 1040 and there are a few types of those, one of which goes something like 1040EZ. Well if it is so easy why don't you (IRS) fill it and send me a check.
I am looking at taxes as a product. When you go to a Wal-Mart or Target you see a product, it has a price and you pay that at the checkout counter. Even goodwill (which by the way has a terrific business model, they take your stuff for free and sell it to you for a price), there is a price tag. Why not taxes. Even for property taxes, your city tells you this is your bill . Electricity, water and other utilities send you a bill, no exception. The IRS sends you nothing. You have to fill forms and send them money and if you are lucky they may send you a refund.
I think I am resigning to the fate that I will not see taxes as a product in my lifetime but no one can stop me from procrastinating. I think it makes sense also especially if you have to pay up.

Is Love one of the commandments?
February is here and February 14th is tomorrow. Yes, Valentine day where you express your love, do something special for someone special is tomorrow. Yes, Valentine day that some of us love and some of us hate is tomorrow. Usually the ones who love the day are in a relationship of some sort and are guaranteed flowers, chocolates, kisses, hugs and perhaps some boom boom shaka laka after a romantic dinner. The ones who don't are not getting any boom boom shaka laka or atleast that is my theory.
Now have you ever wondered whether love is one of the commandments, yes I am talking about the commandments that you are supposed to follow. Well there is one way to find out. I have written a book. It's called the 11 commandments? from a naked unshackled mind. Read the book and find out.

The Book Cover

There is one guy writing something. Well we may know what he may be doing but the other seven characters? Look closely two are female. Why are they there? Also why is one person on one side of the yellow brick road. Does he have anything to do with the red ball of fire. Also why is the road headed to the mountains?
Who are these characters and what is going on in their lives? Also why is there a question mark in the title? There is only one way to find out. Read the book.

The new Book
I think it is time to reveal the name of my new book. It is The Eleven Commandments ? from a naked unshackled mind and it is available on kindle unlimited for free now. Here is a little bit on what the story is about.

How many commandments were there originally? Were there really 10? Were there more or were there less? Find out what happened back then, long long ago.
The exodus and the commandments are probably the most interesting and important event of ancient times. Do the commandments have any relevance today? They probably do for some of us. Scholars, playwrights, moviemakers, actors, songwriters, singers and others have written, enacted, and shown on the silver screen both these event many, many times. It could only mean that they thought their interpretation was the right interpretation having seen all the inter-pretations done before them or they were just inspired. Here is celebrating all those interpreta-tions, and to add to the confusion, one more.
A note of caution. If you are a religious nut or a Jihadist stay away from this book. If you have an open mind, are ready for the ride and have a little sense of humor read on.
This book is dedicated to the hard working citizens of the free world with an open mind and a little sense of humor.

My New Book
In my last post I posted a song. Have you attempted to hum it or perhaps whistle the tune. Are you wondering who is this Abba and Adina? Is Abba the pop band from Sweden that had several worldwide hit songs including 'Dancing Queen', 'Fernando' and 'Mamma Mia!'? And what is Sharak Alon?
Well they are all characters in my book. Abba means dad in Yiddish. Adina is a biblical figure and the meaning of the name is delicate/gentle. Sharak in Hebrew is whisle and Alon is tree so Sharak Alon is the whistling tree and also a character in the book. Now that you are feeling a bit educated here are the lyrics again and some additional lyrics of another song
