Character Profile: Yadzah

Yadzah has multi-racial heritage. Her father was half-Sartorian and half-Varagan. Her mother was Virian. She was taken by a begging gang and put out on the streets to elicit pity and donations from passers-by. Lord Andreas Cesario discovered her on a mission and brought her to the Ohrivaal encampment in the Horeb desert of Sartoria. She was subsequently adopted by Nyraldin Halloran and his husband Remyn Saavut. Later, she began training to become the tribe's next Hastamage, under the tuition of her adoptive grandfather Erroll Ohrivaal.

 

Character Profile: Tilyn Menachem

Tilyn Menachem was born on the frozen isolationist world of Losintho. She has the typical reticent demeanour of most Losinthans, albeit with a rebellious streak. She worked with her father, the renowned scientist Henryk Menachem, as his laboratory assistant. Her disapproval of his apparent collaboration with the Cyad Confederacy led her to run away. She went to Varathusia to seek sanctuary among the Carpathians. After an initial troubled experience with them, she was welcomed into the Menehari family. She formed a close connection with Lord Lorenzo Menehari-Cesario, which led to them marrying.

Character Profile: Gildah Shaughnessey

Gildah Shaughnessey, daughter of Barbara Shaughnessey, is a tough streetwise Virian.  She is feisty and fiercely independent. She enjoys sports and other outdoor activities.  She cultivates an androgynous appearance and disdains anything overtly feminine.  She is Sapphic by nature but doesn't always choose her friendships and intimate relationships wisely.  Her best friend is Lady Suriah Cesario.  Later, she gets recruited as a street spy by Suriah's relatives.

 

Character Profile: Lady Mandina Ingrao

Lady Mandina Ingrao is the wife of Lord Felix Ingrao.  She is a traditional Carpathian woman with strong views and rigid abstemious habits.  She often disapproves of her husband's hedonistic ways, which brings them into conflict.  She dislikes socialising outside her usual circle of business associates and friends. She does not adapt well to change.

Older Version of Lord Aurelio Ingrao

Younger Version of Lord Aurelio Ingrao

Lord Aurelio Ingrao is the eldest son of Lord Ignacio and Lady Shahina Ingrao.  He has a placid demeanour.  He is quiet and reticent in his ways most of the time.  As a younger man, he looks after his siblings and tries to help them whenever possible.  As an older man, he is dedicated to his wife and other members of the extended family.  He runs the family business in a calm and competent manner.

 

Character Profile: Lord Felix Ingrao

Lord Felix Ingrao is the son of Lord Aurelio Ingrao and Lady Dhamarys Ingrao (formerly Dhamarys Vento).  He is married to Lady Mandina.  He is an extrovert who loves socialising and entertaining.  He can be rather flirtatious with the women, although he is never unfaithful to his oft-complaining wife.  His ebullient personality can become annoying at times.  Overall he is a dedicated family man and runs his businesses in a fair and competent manner.

Character Profile: Lady Violetta Ingrao

 

Lady Violetta Ingrao is the younger daughter of Lord Felix and Lady Mandina Ingrao. She is forthright in expressing her opinions. She can demonstrate a cruel and spiteful streak at times. She enjoys fashions, socialising and acting. She has a fervent interest in high performance vehicles. She can be friendly but is very choosy with her friendships.

Character Profile: Lady Rinalda Ingrao

 

Lady Rinalda Ingrao is the older daughter of Lord Felix and Lady Mandina Ingrao. She has a quiet and calm demeanour. She enjoys socialising and shopping with her friends and watching old romance movies. She is a little shy when meeting new people. She is often reticent but can be more forceful at times.

Traditional Virian gypsy Kereen Donnelly joined the Order of Scherza to train as a priestess because she wanted to escape various family obligations. She found herself unsuited to Temple life. The Carpathian/Vyrdigaan alliance recruited her as one of their agents and she embarked on a career path which she enjoys. She has good survival skills and is an expert martial arts practitioner. She met fellow gypsy Degmard Verkhauten while carrying out a mission. The two got on well together and ended up marrying.

Traditional Virian gypsy warrior Degmard Verkhauten was married to Felinah and is the father of Mary Verkhauten. He keeps to the old ways, travelling around the countryside in his campervan, stopping at campsites. He takes on temporary casual work to pay for his lifestyle. He has a gruff, no-nonsense manner. He is wary and suspicious of settled folk and doesn't mix well with them. He became friends with Darien and Levene Shanahan after they helped Mary through a troubled time. He was widowed and travelled alone for many years, until he met and married fellow gypsy Kereen Donnelly.
