The Weekly Rune – Tiwaz

Tiwaz is the half-month rune through 14 March. The intuitive rune is Ingwaz. The earthly spirit of place anchoring the runes this week is Fossilized Ammonite (spiraly thing), in the direction of Within (spirit doll), with element Mycelium (acrylic mushrooms), in the season of Summer (tree button). From right to left are Tiwaz (carved lapis lazuli), then Ingwaz.
Most of us don’t seem to feel seen in our current systems, and this week with Tiwaz speaks directly to that. We fully emerge in the third aett, the Aett of Reckoning (my words, not canon), in which we know the deal of formed being. We know the formative bliss of souling-in-form of the first aett, followed by the agency-slinging-fest of the second. We know that the bulk of our time in form is going to be navigating second-aett dynamics, and that we have to actively draw on our experience of the first aett to get through it. The process of doing exactly that is the reckoning of the third aett, and it starts right out of the gate with the sacrifice of Tiwaz.

Why the Verbs; Write or Die

The Weekly Rune – Sowilo

Sowilo is the half-month rune through 27 February. The intuitive rune is Raidho. The earthly spirit of place anchoring the runes this week is Honey Bee (heart vial), in the direction of Right/This Side/Atlantic Side/East (mossy dwarf), with element Air (feathers), in the season of Spring (tree button). The Beyond-earth support comes from Urd (Yggdrasil deck). From right to left are Sowilo (carved polymer clay tile), then Raidho. Sowilo has brought a lightness to our transition out of darkness that is timely, supportive, and not without its own demands. Closing the second aett, the aett of the agency circus and sheer chaos, Sowilo brings the only soothing moments. And the peace it brings begins with animistic reverence of the sun.

The Weekly Rune – Algiz-Sowilo

Algiz is the half-month rune through 12 February, at which point Sowilo moves to the fore until 27 February. The intuitive rune is Hagalaz. The earthly spirit of place anchoring the runes this week is Tree (carved Yggdrasil), in the direction of Beyond (Earth marble), with element Stone (amber chips), in the season of Spring (tree button). The Beyond-earth support comes from Source (pyrite sun). From right to left are Algiz above (carved, polished Amethyst), Sowilo below, then Hagalaz.

Where we’ve been scrambling to feel our Beyond-earth Allies, rooting into ecosystem for grounded relationships, and digging deeper within to align unconscious support, with the transition from Algiz to Sowilo this week we’re connecting all those dots for powerful community.

Algiz usually comes in as this fundamental reminder that we are supported and protected by ecosystem, that we are Nature. This cycle’s experience brought tones of that, for sure. The framing runes gave it a bit more bass though, along the lines of what we need to do to support ecosystem, what’s required on our end from them so that they sustain the fortitude to help us human well. Algiz has been a study in how Nature helps us tend it well, which in turn means we are all animisming well.

The Weekly Rune – Algiz

Algiz is the half-month rune through 12 February. The intuitive rune is Othala. The earthly spirit of place anchoring the runes this week is American Sweet Gum Tree Seed Pod, in the direction of Beyond (Earth marble), with element Plant (caloglossa red moss), in the season of Winter (tree button). All are held by the etheric field casting cloth. From right to left are Algiz (carved reindeer antler slice), then Othala.

With last week’s tenuous step into Algiz we were greeted with emphasis on ecosystem relationships while also feeling out of Flow. This week the emphasis on close-to-home support dives inward, with some interesting information, support, and relationships.
