[image error]In this combination of the novels New Frontier and Final Frontier, this is the story of alternate timelines, partial political thriller, and time travel, in which a United States President is kept from being assassinated, but there are other unintended consequences as a result.
In 1976, Ronald Reagan becomes President of the United States, declares the U.S. will plant a base on the moon by 1980 and a base on Mars by 1989. The Iranian Hostage Crisis occurs, but Reagan issues a stronger response, but as a result, Osama bin Laden rises to power earlier than he normally would have in the prime timeline.
Meanwhile, The Soviet Union decides to build a starship that will travel to the stars because they want to one-up the United States, but as is usually the case, nothing seems to go right.
In the early 1990s the U.S. and the Russians join forces, which leads the joint venture to the other side of the galaxy by means of a wormhole. When they attempt to return to Earth, they find themselves in the past, where they try to fix certain events in the past while they wait for history in general to catch up to where they launched the joint mission to begin with. Things go wrong as events do not play out as planned and numerous cases of unintended consequences result from the multiple attempts at fixing the timeline.

New Release: Times of Destruction, book 5 of The End Times Saga

Times of Destruction, book 5 of The End Times Saga, is now available for sale on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords for the other e-readers. Until February 28, it'll be $.99 on Kindle and Nook, and on Smashwords, it'll be $.99 with a coupon. The links will be below.
After the rapture occurs, Michael Evans introduces the man who becomes the world leader. The new leader, calling himself the Patriarch and renaming the United Nations to the Union of United Earth, consolidates his power and moves the new world capital to the city of Babylon in Iraq. The Patriarch divides the world into ten administrative regions and has ten men administer those regions for him. Next, he appoints a world-renowned prosperity gospel preacher as the new High Priest for the global religion. During the first three and a half years, the Patriarch reorganizes the world economy, the High Priest creates a loyalty mark for people to take to show their loyalty to the Union, and then disasters begin occurring as predicted in the Bible. The first trumpet announces hail and fire mixed with blood, which kills 1/3 of plant life. The second announces a great mountain, an asteroid, burning with fire from space that's hurled into the sea and kills 1/3 of ocean life. The third is a comet that turns 1/3 of the waters bitter. The fourth extinguishes 1/3 of the light from the sun, moon, and the stars. The fifth, those that aren't sealed by God are harmed by demon possessed "locusts." The sixth, world war three occurs. The seventh, will be in the next novel, the next three and a half years. As they deal with this, they have to put up with two witnesses who show up in Jerusalem, preaching the Gospel, and warning of the beast and his false prophet. As the Patriarch deals with the disasters, the witnesses, and the Jews in Israel, the world moves closer to the middle of the Tribulation, where the Patriarch's life will change and the judgments begin to ramp up.

Upcoming fifth novel in The End Times Saga

Currently, I'm writing the fifth novel in The End Times Saga, called "Times of Destruction." Based on how many words I've written with the others, I'd say I'm about halfway through. It'll be based mostly in the first three and a half years of Tribulation period right after the rapture, and I plan on writing a novel based on the last three and half years of the Tribulation a couple months from now. I'm even thinking of the possibility of writing a novel in the Millenial period and maybe writing another one about the Great White Throne Judgment, but I'm not sure at this point. My church's pastor has been conducting a Bible study on Sunday nights on the book of Revelation, and he divided it up from chapters 1 through 11 and then 12 through 22. He put the Bible study in book form, so now I'm following the outline he has of what'll happen in the Tribulation, which has his thoughts and what other prophecy preachers feel might happen, but with my own twist. I'm mostly doing the story around the seven trumpets, along with how the future anti-Christ reacts to all these disasters, plus his reaction to the two witnesses in Jerusalem as they lead thousands of Jews to Christ.
In my story, anyone who used to know Christians personally will have forgotten about them and their hearts hardened towards the possibilty of Jesus being the Messiah, which is completely different from the Left Behind series in that it really didn't matter with those characters, since everyone could be saved even if they rejected Christ before the rapture. Why LaHaye and Jenkins wrote it that way, I haven't the slightest idea. Since I don't currently write paranormal, trying to write the background stuff that goes on, as far as involving angels and demons go, is a little out of my league. I have the new leader of the world and the false prophet tell everyone that aliens abducted the "haters" and took the children under five (including the unborn) because the world needs to be united in peace, harmony, and unity, and the children won't be returned until that's achieved. Of course, humans being humans, none of that really happens, but because God sends a mass delusion, they all believe aliens abducted millions of people. I also altered parts of the ending to "Times of Trial," in regards to the future anti-Christ announcing who he is and who his false prophet is, since, at the time, I didn't even know I was going to have more than two novels in this series. It should fit more in line with the Tribulation timeline, or I hope it will, anyway. I'm sure there are many who disagree with the timeline of events, but this is based on what I've been taught over the years.
Here are the Trumpets and how I'm treating them…
1. Revelation 8:1-7 KJV – The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth; and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. — In this novel, it follows the very last paragraphs from Times of Trial about the Yellowstone caldera blowing up, which sets off other volcanoes along the North American Ring of Fire. The hot ash and lava burn up all the plant life in North America, and also activates every fault line on the continent, causing earthquakes, and kills nearly everyone in North America (about 600 million people).
2. Revelation 8:8-9: And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. – I'm currently at this point in the novel. It goes a little sci-fi here as I have the Chinese trying to harness the power of a mountain-sized asteroid, but things go wrong. Six months after the first trumpet, the asteroid plunges into the Pacific.
3. Revelation 8:10 -11: And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great start from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters become wormwood: and many mend died of the waters, because they were made bitter. — I'm going to have this as a meteor, probably one that usually passes by Earth, but this time it's caught by our gravitational pull. I'm still trying to decide which continent's water supply is ruined.
4. Revelation 8:12: And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. — I was thinking of having the two witnesses show the power of God by having them do this, which really gets the world upset at them, and demanding that the leader of the world do something about the two. I'm also going to have the leader threaten them, so they order a drought and some plagues, like flies and locusts, similar to when Moses did it in Egypt.
5. Revelation 9:1-6: And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, and as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree: but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. — I'm not sure how I'm going to correctly describe demon possessed locusts (probably the same way John described them) coming from what I would think was an active volcano, but I do know how humans will be in the novel when struck by them — zombies! (I guess that would be somewhat paranormal?)
6. Revelation 9:13-19: And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God. Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angles which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand (200 million): and I heard the number of them. And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpants, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. — Sounds like modern warfare to me, and John could only describe it from his experience, not knowing how to describe tanks, drones, and aircraft. I plan on having Russia, with Iran having the idea, of supplying the Middle East with enough armanents and supplies to try to destroy Israel easily, since I had Iran in the previous novels try to nuke Israel out of existence, which didn't work. Since this involves the whole world, other countries will try to take advantage and a nuclear war will occur. This isn't Armageddon, that happens at the end of Tribulation, after pretty much all technology has been destroyed in this war.
7. The Seventh trumpet announces the next 3 1/2 years, talking about mankind's sins, and how they'll be judged for it in the next 3 1/2 years, but I'll add that to the next novel. Chapter 11 also talks about the two witnesses, about how they're finally overcome by the anti-Christ and killed. For 3 1/2 days, the remaining people of Earth will celebrate their "deaths." Then they're resurrected and ascend to heaven. The anti-Christ enters the Temple of Jerusalem right before that and finally declares he's God, demanding the Jews also worship him. When the two witnesses disappear into the clouds, the anti-Christ gets assassinated, where he'll be indwelt with Satan, rise again, and truly becomes the anti-Christ, and will also give power to the false prophet. This is where this novel will end.

2013 Novel Sales
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a great new year. As I do twice a year, I post what I've sold/given away over the year (or previous six months in the case of posting in June). As I discovered over the year when putting books into Kindle Select, that it's become really over-rated, even the Kindle Countdown idea could use a lot more work, since I couldn't get that to work for me either. Free days work well in that I'm getting lots of downloads, but doesn't seem to boost sales beyond that, or even net borrows from Amazon Prime Members. I guess that depends on an authors' particular genre. I did a little bit better than 2012 and I hope I do better in 2014 than I did in 2013. As I near February, I'll have been an indie author for six years. Time sure does fly!
As for how I marketed my works, I have a very limited budget. I tried blog hops, $.99 and free ebook sales with other authors through Crossreads, along with the Book Blasts blog posts, ads through Facebook (they're a total waste of money), Fiverr ads, the $5 can add up a lot if you do that all the time, and some ads through smaller sites. I've posted on Facebook groups/pages, on various message boards, constantly Tweeted to Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn every 30 minutes using Hootsuite to schedule them, and even joined re-Tweeting groups. Most of this stuff worked for me, but your mileage may vary. I find word of mouth works the best, especially when you have multiple people volunteering to review your novels (helps joining sites/groups that do that), since a lot of them have a blog and a following. While I may not get hundreds upon hundreds of sales a month (or even dozens of reviews), I do have consistent sales, at least on Amazon.
This year I even expanded my books into the audiobook world, but I was highly skeptical, since I'm not an audiobook listener. I'd rather read. I only had my End Times Saga plus two other books done as audiobooks. At first, I wanted to do it myself, but decided most of it's too technically involved for me, so I went through ACX, which I started doing back in September. One of my novels, Out of Time, was even featured in ACX's email to its producers, which netted me an actor who's done voices in movies like Jaws. For a couple of my novels, I'm actually getting better sales in audio than I am in ebook or paperback, which kind of surprises me, even though it shouldn't. When I worked in a library, we had just as many audiobook rentals as we did regular books. The only problem I have with ACX is that they seem to be really picky. One of my narrarators has had to re-do three novels twice, which is why two of them (Times of Turmoil and Timothy Phillips) are not yet ready for sale, while Xavier Doolittle isn't available because short stories don't seem to sell as audiobooks (for me), as I discovered with Jon Ryan.
A majority of my sales are through Amazon, followed by B&N, which seemed to fall off a lot for me when I compare it to last year, probably something to do with the upheaval that company is having with their brand. Apple is up and down, Sony hardly exists, while Kobo's sales for me disappeared when they had that scandal over erotic novels, even though all of my novels are clean reads. My paperback sales are also up and down. A couple of my older novels aren't selling like they used to, so I'm thinking of retiring those, but will give them one more year before I decide. Unlike all the prognosticators out there predicting this or that for publishing in 2014, I have no idea where my path will lead. I do know that I plan on writing and finishing at least two more novels this year, which will be in my series, The End Times Saga. I also plan on eventually writing an antediluvian novel about Noah's time. I'm discovering that there's a lot to research about that particular time period. So stay tuned.

21 Prayers for Teen Girls by Shelley Hitz and Heather Hart
Prayer is something that we hear Christians talking about all the time – but when it comes to actually talking to God, we often don't know what to say.
Written specifically for teen girls, the prayers in this book are the prayers of our hearts. You can pray them or use them for inspiration for prayers of your own. You can pray about anything and everything – God is always listening. We encourage you to pray along and make a habit out of praying for God to mold you into the woman He created you to be.

This is a couple corner. As you read this book, you will discover 52 uniquely different corners we encounter as couples. You'll begin as if you were taking a drive. The easiest corners start in first gear. Truly brave and daring couples will progress all the way to the final choices. When you do, you’ll be speeding down the highway of marriage in fifth gear, which moves you forward the fastest, but also contains the biggest risks.
