PODCAST: Is the Law of Moses Still Binding? w/ Matthew Ferris
I talked with Matthew Ferris, author of If One Uses It Lawfully: The Law of Moses and the Christian Life, about whether Christians should obey the laws for Israel in the Old Testament.
Just a few of the questions we discussed:
-Do we have to obey the “moral” laws but not the ceremonial ones?
-If we’re not following the Law of Moses, what is our standard?
-Does rejecting the old covenant mean denying the inspiration of the Old Testament?
-Does the New Perspective on Paul give us new insights about the Law?
-Should we build modern societies on Old Testament laws like theonomists and Christian Nationalists argue?

The Astonishing Power of a Faithful Mustard Seed Revolution (LCI)
My latest for the Libertarian Christian Institute:
https://libertarianchristians.com/2023/04/01/mustard-seed-revolution/
Tucked away in one of Jesus’ short, unassuming parables is a hidden subversive message that pronounces coming judgment upon mankind’s systems of power.
It all starts with a little mustard seed…

The Protestant Libertarian Podcast – Why We Can’t Unhitch the Old Testament from Christianity
I was on the Protestant Libertarian Podcast to talk about my book Unhitched and the movement to disconnect Christianity from the Old Testament.
Official episode description:
In this episode I talk once again to Cody Cook, author of the book Unhitched: Why Jesus Can’t Be Divorced from The Old Testament. In this book, Cody critically examines the work of three prominent Christian thinkers who make various arguments that Christians ought to marginalize or outright ignore the Old Testament. We explore the work of Keith Giles, Greg Boyd, and Andy Stanley. Cody explains how many of their ideas have precedents that are rooted in antiquity and demonstrates the deficiencies and contradictions in their arguments. Cody then presents his personal interpretive framework for understanding the Old Testament and gives those that struggle with the Old Testament suggestions for better understanding the works that are included within it. This is one you will not want to miss!

The Protestant Libertarian Podcast – A Very Libertarian Christmas
I was recently a guest on The Protestant Libertarian Podcast to discuss the libertarian dimensions of Christmas.
Here’s the official episode description:
In this episode, I sit down with Cody Cook, an author and podcaster who explores the relationship between Christianity and anarchism. Many of his interests overlap with the Protestant Libertarian Podcast, and I know that you are going to love everything that he has produced! After getting to know Cody, we talk about two articles that he has written exploring the relationship between Christmas and libertarian thinking. He gives us some very interesting historical and theological insights into how Christians need to reflect on the true message of Christmas, and how, as always, Jesus is the real reason for the season. Enjoy!
