update on Clare's potential Property Empire...

I was really touched by the number of you who offered help and support when I was thinking about buying my seaside retreat ♥.

And don't you just hate it when you get the beginning of a news story on TV or the papers but no follow-up for ages, and you wonder what happened in the end? Even if there IS an end, that is. So here's the update of my (rather more modest) news story.

I could have borrowed the money - it could have been done fairly smoothly, legalities and practicalities etc. But Hubby

And in OTHER NEWS....

I've risen to the Challenge over at Kris 'n Good Books's Blog!

I was given the most hideous interesting prompts to write a m/m short story, following in the hallowed footsteps of other great authors like [info:] seankennedy and [info:] kz_snow who had already been mangled inspired by the experience.

My prompts? Brace yourselves.

A London Bus.
A chip butty (fries sandwich, on white bread, for those who haven't had one...).
A butterfly net.
A bobby (policeman!).
Whether No. 10 Downing Street is a portal to another worl

FOOTPRINTS

Today my novella is released at Dreamspinner Press, find it HERE.

Anti-terrorist operatives Evan Riley and Adam Nolan couldn't be less alike. Evan is easygoing, sharp-witted, and sociable, while Adam is the gifted and cooly controlled leader of the operation. But as their team spends nine straight months in a safe house on the coast, Evan sees much more in Adam. For Adam, the sea holds bitter, shocking memories that haunt his days and nights. But despite his stubborn refusal to allow hi

It's all about the MEMEME...

I'm a Featured Author at Two Lips Reviews this month!

What a treat for me, it was a very pleasant experience and I fielded some cheeky questions.

Find out what I find hardest to write...what I think are the most important elements in a story...what gets me hot and bothered...what are my strange habits!!

Thanks to Tina and the ladies at Talking Two Lips!

Son#1 has come home, tried once again to reset it and GUESS WHAT, it's cleared. Despite being thrilled, I'm furious it had to be HIM. He laughed his arse off at the page contents and mocked my failure up to date *grrr* *LMAO*. I maintain it was kick-started by my beginning to charge it, he maintains I'm just a panic-ridden Mom.

OK, will see how it recharges now. Many many thanks to anyone who offered help or a shoulder to cry on - except of course for hideously-smug Son#1...

My ereader broke d

THE WORST OF TIMES...

Well no, not exactly, that's an exaggeration *lol*.

But I'm not feeling at all well and actually had to come home from work yesterday with dizzy spells and some rather worrying numbness in my feet. *hmmm* I know, I did panic a bit.
Of course, people don't come much more sedentary than me, so I obviously need to do something about that. More exercise and carry less weight - the Old Old Tale.
And more sleep would be a cute thing to have, if I hadn't been kept awake every night for almost a week

Paying it forward...?!

Well, I've been TAGGED by a rather unusual 'award' (I use the term loosely LOL) from The Thrillionth Page, Carolyn Crane's blog (aka Carolyn Jean Jackson)- A reader/writer blog devoted to thrill and adventure reads of all kinds: fantasy, urban fantasy, romance, paranormal romance, erotica, sci fi, historicals, mysteries, monstery intrigue and more.

I always have fun there, you should go along and visit! But by some kind of circuitous route, now it looks like I've been tagged by the pernicious lo
