IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU....

I've been *cough* carefully and compassionately interviewed at Jessewave's Blog.

She asked some searching questions - and lots of them! - and I had a good opportunity to pontificate about m/m writing issues, pimp my work and expose some new secrets I *haven't* let loose during one of my boozy posts.

Comment on the post and you'll be entered in the Prize Draw for one of my Dreamspinner PRINT books, signed by me, no less ♥ (well yes, I know, who else would sign it...).

She's also featured a lovely re

UK Writing Convention

Anyone interested in coming along to, or helping to organize a writer’s conference in the UK? If it sounds like something the UK has been missing for years, and you would be very interested in seeing something like that get started, please join us on the new Yahoo Group.

Also, feel free to follow [info:] erastes' account for any updates on LJ.

It's only at the "suggestions, please" stage at the moment, but it'd be great to hear from anyone who might be interested in meeting up / joining in / looking for

GIANT SQUEE...

I just bought the latest Richard Stevenson book in paperback. I've always loved and admired his Donald Strachey books and I'm thrilled they're being republished by MLR Press. I've got most of the older ones in various new and second-hand versions, rather a hotch-potch of spines on my shelf! In fact, his books were what first drew me to MLR, to see what this new e-and-print publisher was like, what else they published.

And now, there on the inside flyleaf, is a list of OTHER MLR Press authors.

MONDAY, MONDAY...

Darn it.

I came dashing online with a morning-after red face, to close down last night's boozy post but I've had a couple of comments. I always think it's rude not to acknowledge them, so it stays *lol*.

Damned story of mine still needs a revamp.
*gets out editing shears*

Wish me luck for the week. I have to write some notes up on a tense staff interview, mediate with our IT guy because of problems with the email, make an impassioned - yet commercially viable - pitch to keep our water cooler in th

so NOT a review post...

I quote:

I just finished reading Sparks Fly by Clare London and fell in love with it. The relationship between the characters is one of love & hate. Really good.

I agree I just finished Sparks Fly also and i really liked it..your right that angry passion can be a turn on in a read if done right which in this case it was.I would suggest this one also.loved the ending.

Based on the discussion I also wanted to give the book a try but I have to say while I like it altogether very much ending was my onl

PS Hello Friends...

NOTE: my website is down temporarily. Hope they get it back up soon but it's been all morning already...hmmm.

Update: it's back up now. I was impressed with Freewebs, actually, they kept an ongoing message about progress on the site for users.

Whoa, what did I do?! LMAO

I've just had a batch of new Friends appear on my Live Journal list.

Great to see you all, thanks for dropping in!

My approach to LJ friending?
I friend back most people so long as I can see you're 'real'.

REVIEWS....

There's been a lot of discussion recently about authors and promo on the net.

Some of it's been in the form of musing. Do some authors do too little/ too much? What do readers *really* think? Are they annoyed with authors posting reviews and details of new releases - or excited, or interested, or fascinated? Or - OMG worst of all - BORED?! :)

And some of it's been really useful, at least for me. What methods seem to work better, to everyone's benefit; what social networks - or how many! - c
