Clare's Locking Up...
Unaccustomed as I am to public speaking...
Well, it's slightly unnerved me to realise how many places this blog now pops up in. It's fed to Amazon, to Goodreads, and tonight I found myself posted to a community on Twitter - which network I'm still resisting, by the way, but if needs be, you can find me there at clare_london. Whatever that involves.
So... I'll still continue to post here willy-nilly (including my unruly drunken posts), but most of my more personal entries will be F-locked :).

HUMAN NATURE REDEEMS ITSELF?
WEEEEELLLLLL.....
Just had the nicest email (she agreed to let me post it).
Hi, I'm just writing to say that I found your writing, and I'm really enjoying it. I found "Accusation" through a list of recommended m/m fiction, and have been steadily working my way through the rest of this treasure trove.
I saw your lj post about the thievery of your work at Astatalk, and I wanted to say how truly sorry I am that that has happened to you. I used to be a member of the site, but this, along with other in

GOOD PUBLISHING NEWS >>>>
I've just signed a contract with Amber Quill Press for a m/m short story called A Good Neighbor. I am VERY excited about this!
They invited me to submit something a while back - along with other authors of course - but I only recently had something suitable, fully written (curse these too short, 24-hour days....). They've been very welcoming! It was particularly interesting to read the recent interview over at Jessewave's Blog of the owner, Trace Edward Zaber. I like their attitude toward a

AAAARRRGGHHHHH......
Well, despite being devastated and stunned by Torchwood#4, I drag myself to the blog to report...
DAY 4 at Authors By Authors.
Today's topic - THE STRUGGLE TO JUGGLE.
Just when do we write?
Just how many hours does Chrissy think there are in a day?
Just why is Clare known as the Snatcher?
And where does a dismantled microwave come into it?
Come and see our random thoughts on trying to Have It All - and inevitably failing. But maybe you'll pick up some small snippet of support or comfort - or perhaps y

Isn't that even more Seductive than my infamous BUY NOW links?! LMAO

MESSAGE FROM AN EXILED LAND...
Oooh, unless the site is completely down or having problems, I think I've been BANNED from Astatalk. You know, the site where they're ILLEGALLY offering my books for free download?
Maybe they didn't like the way I was following links to my books and asking the posters to withdraw them *cough*. Looks like the comments I'd made have been deleted, too. Come on now, anyone who knows me, knows I'd have been polite about it - and it had worked up to date, too.
But am I sort of flattered I riled someon
