It’s an exciting week for REDNECK comic news! Our first REDNECK announcement features an amazing April variant cover for REDNECK #12 by artist Gabriel Hernandez Walta! REDNECK #12 Cover A [FEB180671] and Cover B [FEB188374] hit stores on Wednesday, April 25th and feature the close of the second arc of the series. Last Friday, Image Comics announced that REDNECK #1 will be joining their newest batch of “Image Firsts.” This comic line features reprints of the 1st issues of hit Image and Skybound titles for just $1! Justin Jordan: The Magic of the Pomodoro Method!
Somewhere, deep out in rural Pennsylvania is a man… Not just a man, but a writer. A writer who is churning away at all hours to produce a myriad of eclectic stories ranging from horror, to comedy, science fiction, all the way to the super hero genre. That writer is none other than Justin Jordan.
Oh, and his cat Tom Waits helps too.
Justin Jordan was born a writer and once The Strange Talent of Luther Strode finally came to fruition, the work just kept comin’. But the road to one’s first book is almost never easy. Justin worked and wrote just about anything there is to write before gaining steam in comic books.
He even wrote some lyrics to a death metal song!
Of which we desperately want to hear. But after getting onto the early internet’s comic book forums, Justin found the motivation and outlet he needed to connect with artists and grow as a writer in terms of pitching projects and taking gigs. Having THE idea is just a small part of the battle, the road to being a writer is a long and strenuous one.
Since breaking in Justin has worked on a myriad of projects including: New 52 runs on Superboy, Deathrstroke, Team 7, along with a bevy of original projects such as Deep State, Spread, Dead Body Road and most recently Death of Love! He’s got quite the resume already and we can’t wait to see what he cooks up next! Announcing Our New Comic: STELLAR!
Today we are VERY proud to announce our newest Skybound comic series! STELLAR is the story of a child-turned-ultimate-weapon, and her life after ending an intergalactic war. Stellar now makes a living as a bounty hunter, seeking out dangerous aliens across the galaxy. But can someone created for war ever find peace? Based on characters created by Robert Kirkman and Marc Silvestri, we’ve been looking for a top-tier creative team that would be perfect for this book. We are over the moon that we got writer Joseph Keatinge (SHUTTER, EVOLUTION, TECH JACKET) and artist Bret Blevins (NEW MUTANTS, SLEEPWALKER) to take on this story. Rus Wooton rounds out the team as letterer. You can get a peek at this amazing collaboration below, and the full first issue will be hitting your local comic shop June 13, 2018!

The Future is Bright for The Walking Dead Alum Chandler Riggs!
It all started with a HUGE role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat… Well, not a huge role, actually just a choir boy. However, this was the springboard that shot the acting bug at a young Chandler Riggs. Growing up with parents who were a part of the theatre community in Atlanta, baby Chandler was able to test out his chops in performance art at an early age. He was a mere 4 years old in his first role, and afterwards continued his endeavors in theatre. His real debut (if choir boy isn’t official enough for you all) was as a Munchkin in Atlanta’s Fox Theatre production of The Wizard of Oz!
All this leads to Chandler landing his larger acting breaks at age 9 as Tom in the film Get Low and a smaller role in The Wronged Man (made for TV movie). The following year, 2010, he was cast as our beloved baby Carl in this new zombie show called The Walking Dead. As you all know, this dream role would then consume the next EIGHT years of Chandler’s life. Growing up on a TV show is no easy task, but Chandler has captured the heart of millions of supportive fans around the world and those of his fellow cast and crew-mates.
Needless to say, it was devastating to see him go.
But with all endings come new beginnings, and Chandler has a bright, bright future ahead of him. Returning to Los Angeles he sets his sights on landing new gigs, playing video games, and perfecting his music under the DJ name: Eclipse. Recently, he’s been releasing new tracks (which you should listen to – link below) and dipping his toes into performing live! Watch the interview below as we dig into Chandler’s future in acting, music, his free-time and how much of a video game nerd he is (so are we Chandler, so are we). Enjoy!
