Which states have you visited?

The Miles Between ARCS are on their way to New York after criss-crossing the country and spending some time in some pretty wild and beautiful places. Thirteen states in all! Hooray road-trip bloggers! Here's a map that shows them all.

And finally we have reached . . .

the last stop on the road trip tour.

It came with a pretty extensive review  that will keep me flying all weekend.  And somehow it seemed so full circle since it highlights another kind of journey--one with wings.  Since she didn't say in her post, I will tell you that this time we have arrived in the great state of New Jersey (Waving to all you folks in NJ!)

Thank you Sarah, for the very kind words about The Miles Between, and for finishing up our journey before the ARCS hit New York.  As soon

Turn left!

"No! Turn right!"

"Are you sure we're going in the right direction?"

"Watch out for that-- "

"Owwww!"

What is a road trip without a few wrong turns, and our next road tripper makes them fun. Plus he gives us some new vocabulary. It is a word that will fit in nicely with my daily life.

Thank you [info:] thunderchikin for guiding us to higher levels of learning and the great state of . . .

Well, what are you waiting for? Check it out!

(And man, what a beautiful place to work!)

Fun news . . .

This must be a record for me--three posts in one day.  I promise, no more!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes.  Now matter how I keep telling them to stop, they just keep coming.  But I guess it is much better than the alternative.  And really (I mean, really) I wouldn't want to get rid of a single one--those are my miles, ya know?  The highs, lows, bumps, wrinkles and sags, I earned 'em every last one.

Now for the news I mentioned this morning . . . there's a book trailer for The Miles Between

One of the last stops . . .

And it's a doozie!

The road trip is almost over--wow, have we ever covered a lot of miles.  And I am happy to see that the beautiful and quirky corners of your worlds make The Miles Between   feel right at home.  Check out the latest stop .    I burst out laughing when I saw the--

Well, you will just have to see for yourself.  Mira would love it!

I think this makes TEN different states so far!

Thank you [info:] jodyfeldman  for squeezing into the car (the seats weren't too sticky, were they?) and sharing yo

Nice start to Monday . . .

Woot!  Monday is starting off with a bang.  Something fun coming soon . . .

Hope you all had a nice weekend.  I celebrated my birthday on Friday with family and shrimp fajitas.  Yum.  In fact I used birthday as excuse to indulge all weekend long.  Back to reality and cottage cheese today.  And fresh tomatoes from the garden.  Actually, I love cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes so it is no big sacrifice.

Happy Monday all!

Scones, hats, yakking . . .

. . . and a world practically right in my backyard that I didn't know existed.  Yesterday I met [info:] newport2newport for lunch in San Juan Capistrano.  We had a wonderful time yakking and eating.  She has a fun slideshow and all the delicious details here.  And believe me, it was delicious.  How did I not know about this place?

I've been to SJC a zillion times at least.  I used to live nearby in San Clemente and SJC is also where I went on my first date with my husband.  It's a good halfway meeting p

Where in the world are we now . . .

We have cruised into another place on the road trip tour and this spot seems to suit Destiny just perfectly.

Thank you, Kristine, for sharing your corner of the world (and for the very kind comments about Miles too.  Wow.)

This has been some tour.  I think we have visited something like seven or eight different states so far
