Vote for the stories I will write!
I am going to be writing some short stories about some of the characters in my Daughters of the Promise series and my Land of Canaan series. I am SOOO excited about this! Here's how it will work. Each time I finish a story, it will get edited, then it will be available digitally in all formats. Once all the stories are done, they will be available in a paperback edition.
BUT, I want to write the stories you want to hear! Amish Living is running a survey so that readers can choose which characters/storylines they would like to hear. So, please go to www.amishliving.com to vote. On the right sidebar, you'll see "Hey Fans of Beth Wiseman, we want your opinion." Click there, then follow the instructions.
I can't wait to hear what you choose! I'll be starting on them very soon.
Happy Thursday!

May Book Signings!
I have three book signings coming up in May, so I hope to see some of you! I'll be signing copies of Need You Now -- my first contemporary novel not based in an Amish Community. This story takes place about nine miles from my house in the quaint little town of Round Top in Texas!
Here's a bit about the story, and the schedule of book signings follows:

“A ground-breaking contemporary marriage story by best-selling author Beth Wiseman that will stay on your heart long after you’ve finished it.” --Kelly Long, best-selling author of The Arms of Love
When big-city life threatens the safety of one of their children, Brad and Darlene Henderson move with their three teenagers from Houston to the tiny town of Round Top, Texas.
Adjusting to small-town life is difficult for the kids, especially fifteen-year-old Grace who is coping in a dangerous way.
Married life hasn't always been bliss, but their strong faith has carried them through the difficult times. When Darlene takes a job outside the home for the first time in their marriage, the domestic tension rises.
While working with special needs children at her new job, the widowed father of one of Darlene’s students starts paying more attention to her than is appropriate. Problem is, she feels like someone is listening to her for the first time in a long time.
If Darlene ever needed God . . . it’s now.
Experience a family’s triumphant defeat over lies, betrayal, and loss while still clinging to the One who matters most.
MAY BOOK SIGNINGS:
Saturday, May 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- Fayetteville, Texas. http://artsforruraltexas.org/artwalk

A Perfect Plan - Discussion Question
From my story A Perfect Plan, in the novella collection An Amish Wedding by me, Kathleen Fuller, and Kelly Long.
Rachel writes letters to both Priscilla and Chester; letters that hit on exactly what they are both feeling prior to the wedding. Do you think God is speaking to Priscilla and Chester through Rachel? Has this ever happened to you or to someone you know?

Can anyone tell me why I chose to include an image of a pink Amish dress in today's blog?
Thanks for participating! I love to hear from my readers.
I hope you have a wonderful week.

A Perfect Plan
I'd like to start something new here on my blog this week and see how you like it. I'm going to offer up the discussion questions from my novels and novellas, one at a time, one each week. Then, through your comments, you'll have the opportunity to share with all of us your thoughts about the characters and your own personal experiences. It will be like a book club group, for those of us who don't have access to or time for an actual book club meeting. Participate if you'd like, or just enjoy reading other's posts. Warning! If you haven't read the book we're discussing, you many encounter some spoilers here.
My first question is from my story, A Perfect Plan, in An Amish Wedding. This is a collection of three Amish novellas by me, Kathleen Fuller and Kelly Long, published in 2011 by Thomas Nelson, Inc.
Priscilla wants to have a perfect wedding day, but she loses sight of what's really important. How might things have been different if she hadn't let worry creep into her heart?
Hope you all had a blessed and peaceful Easter weekend.

Reader Comment for Need You Now
One of my readers posted this on her blog -- "I have read many Amish fiction books by Beth Wiseman, and I was excited to read this latest novel of hers which is a totally different style. I found this book to be a refreshing and exciting change and absolutely loved the story." She goes on to say that she hopes I write more contemporary fiction.
What do you think? Right now, the plan is to alternate between Amish fiction and contemporary fiction.

CONTEMPORARY?
OR

AMISH?
OR BOTH??
I hope you have a fabulous weekend full of peace and blessings.
