This Week: V-Day = D-Day?
Cal and Niko Leandros *may* be delivering one helluva Valentine to The Reaver Army this week… but I'm not allowed to say anything, so shhhh!
If you're not already signed up for Rob's Official Newsletter, you may want to get on-board before Tuesday so that you receive The Leandros Brothers' little… ah… gift[?] before the rest of the world sees it.
But remember: you didn't hear this from me!

Happy Friday the 13th!
Happy 2012 and Friday the 13th, Reavers!
One of the biggest perks to my job is being able to read a book in advance, which I will be doing with a DOUBLETAKE galley over the weekend. I also often get to see how the artwork is going to look from front-to-back on these books when I receive a book flat, which Rob was kind enough to send along with the galley. SO! For Friday the 13th, I thought I'd share a little love… I've scanned in the book flat for you all to ogle. By the way, the silver lettering is raised, silver foil. It. Is. WICKED HOT.
Enjoy this little peek at what's coming for you on March 6th!
xoxo,
-Jayda

Cowboys & Aliens: short, sweet, massive spoilers
Lucky me, I missed Cowboys & Aliens in the theatre as I was in the hospital at the time, but Netflix came through for me. Here are my four, yep–only four, thoughts on the movie.
Lesson 1: a little peyote can fix anything. (Who didn't already know that?)
Lesson 2: the love of your life can be dissected and incinerated by aliens, but the sight of a hummingbird heals all emotional wounds. (They should be dispensing those at the pharmacy instead of anti-depressants.)
Lesson 3: Hollywood can CGI the hell out of aliens ripping people off horses and impaling them, but can't do shit with a simple hummingbird. (A Disney cartoon hummingbird is more believable.)
Finally: how the hell do you screw up a great premise like aliens vs cowboys?? (I waited almost a year for this movie. A year. What a waste of anticipation. Sigh. Someone get me a hummingbird stat.)

Correction: Goodreads Polls Open MONDAY, Too!
Oops! My bad. I originally posted that the Goodreads Choice Awards ballots were open through Sunday, but I was wrong.
So… while you're back at work after Thanksgiving weekend and need something to procrastinate with, *mischievous giggles* head on over to GoodReads and cast your votes for BASILISK in Science Fiction.
Today – Monday – IS the last day [EVER] to vote for Rob Thurman in the 2011 GoodReads Choice Awards. So get it while it's still hot, Reavers!
Hope you all had a fantabulous turkey [or in my case, Tofurkey] day!

BASILISK Has Made the Final GoodReads Cut – Vote Now!
BASILISK has made it into the FINALS in the Goodreads Choice Awards. Go Misha, Go Misha! The number of books in each category has been cut down to only ten, so the competition is waaay tight this round and we have done GOOD, everyone. Seeing Rob Thurman right there with Stephen King in the finals makes me giddy all over again.
This is the final-FINAL round now – your last chance to vote for Rob. Voting ends on Sunday, so get online real quick-like today or this weekend and vote for our beloved BASILISK right here.
To all of our fellow American Reavers, Happy FangsGiving!
To everyone else: Happy Almost-Weekend!

Goodreads Choice Round Two: Vote for Rob Thurman in Best Author AND Best Science Fiction!
Thanks to you, Rob Thurman is still kicking ass and taking names in the Goodreads Choice Awards!
BASILISK is now in the semi-final round for Best Science Fiction, and… and… are y'ready for this?
You all were incredible in writing in your votes for Best Author because… guess what? Rob is now a nominee in the Best Author Category, too! Check her out on that sexy list along with Jim Butcher, Ilona Andrews, Richelle Mead and Cassandra Clarke. This is a huge deal, and I cannot thank you enough for writing her into a category that we all know she so deserved to be nominated in.
Now then, once again, we need your votes to get Rob into the finals! The polls are only open for a week this time. So head on over to Goodreads and vote for BASILISK in Science Fiction and Rob Thurman as Best Author.
Congratulations Rob!
And Reaver Army: You. Frakking. Rawk.
