Started a new video project and needed a quick overhead shot- the Maven Adapter saves the day again! It's the fastest way I know of to get an overhead shot with a full size camera. Can't tell you all how many times this device has saved my butt. Thanks for your help @hayden_baldwin! #mavenadapter

I recently purchased a OSMO 2 to use with my iPhone X and wanted to know if I could use the super portable AirPods as a microphone? Here are my tests, thoughts and hacks to get the best sounding audio for your OSMO 2 Rig:

I skipped this in Theaters, but wow....I was really impressed with it. In all honesty, I thought it would be a let down just because of the nature of the story but it was surprisingly good and I thought definitely worth the $5 to rent. Great story, (comedic/but kinda serious approach) with world class acting, camera work, lighting and composition. I want to watch it again for these reasons. Her mom was a new kind of villain, and Allison Janney was incredible. Just wow and then at the end of the film you see some of the real people and you can only say wow again.

OSMO 2 Running Tests

The OSMO 2 is a stabilizing gimbal for your smart phone. In this video I test it out to see what I can get away with when running, comparing it to a Sony A9 on a Pilotfly H1 Gimbal. For $130...its pretty good!

Bad Samaritain

I thought the trailer was intriguing, but long story short this is a no in theaters. I had a hard time feeling empathy for the protagonist and while I felt the antagonist was a slime ball, he didnt feel truly threatening to me, just more disturbed. It had some real good moments but it felt like it kept falling short with what it was trying to achieve (minus one scene). Possibly a rental.



As a side note, I used Moviepass.com, even though they have recently changed so many rules, for the most part I feel it's still a good value.

Cobra Kai

The Karate Kid is one of my all time favorite movies. Just so good on so many levels, so when I heard there was a reboot on Youtube Red, I was interested. I binged watched it over the last couple days, and I have to say I thought it was all very well done and very funny despite the foul language. I think it is interesting because we see a lot from Jonnies perspective and it is a very different feel altogether.



Highly recommended (Youtube Red offers a free one month pass, which I might end up keeping because it allows you to skip the ads!)
