Need hard shadows for video in low light conditions? Two of the most affordable options right here!

Need hard shadows for video in low light conditions? Two of the most affordable options right here - Lowel's Pro Light & Omni Light, about $110 & $150 respectively. They are hot lights, ~3300k but for 200W & 500w - that price is hard to beat. I prefer LED panels for softer shadows, but every film maker should have a very hard & bright light in their lighting tool kit. You can always go from small to large light source using a bounce, much harder the other way around. The Pro light is smaller, Omni brighter and has a handle. There is a ton of accessories for both. #lowel #lighting #videolights

PS- Ill put the links for them in "Michael's Bag" tab above under video light section.

#043 -What is a Debate Threshold? With GMOs & Global Warming Examples

Subscribe:Apple Podcasts | Android | RSS

In today's episode, I wanted to address a few rules I use when deciding if I should debate with others (it very rarely happens) on certain topics and the thresholds that are required for me to want to invest my time into it. I'm also including 2 examples of debate thresholds that are very controversial, GMO's and Global Warming.

There are people who are very passionate about these in Social Media and the reason I use these two examples is to demonstrate how willing some are to debate about things they do not fully understand. (Hint: Do not debate with anyone who intentionally misunderstands you, doesn't know the basics or is unwilling to learn the basics).

I'll also share with you two incredible scientific facts that reset the stage of debate when it comes to GMO's and Global Warming. Hold on to your seats!

Annihilation

This was a terrible movie. Boring as can be, and I do not even think the original writer or director fully understood what they were trying to convey. Do not see it in theaters. I don't even think this is worth a DVD. As someone who spent 8 years of his life studying genetics, it was all "Looks like the deck is being reshuffled.." about half a dozen times. What a waste of time and money!

#042 – The Best Free (& Effective) Addiction Rehabilitation Program You’ve Never Heard Of

Subscribe:Apple Podcasts | Android | RSS

Ive been working on disasters with the Salvation Army now for 8 years. I kept on hearing this term "ARC...ARC" but I never really stopped to ask what it was about until I was in Puerto Rico, where Captain Alex Valesquez sat down and told me what they were all about, and he should know, he runs one of the bigger ARCs in the US. What he told me absolutely blew my mind.

With one of the highest efficacy rates I have ever heard of for an addition rehab program, what is further mind boggling is that there are no financial costs tied to those enrolling in the program. All they have to do is answer 6 questions.

Im sure many of you out there listening know someone who is struggling with different kinds of addictions, be it drugs, alcohol or the like. I felt so inspired about what Alex does that I felt compelled to share it! What an incredible service to so many without hope, many whom I have personally witnessed completely turning their lives around to becoming incredible men! That is today's topic on The Maven Nation!

PS- I know the audio is a little rough, but it was the best we could do!
