Makena Crossfit Comedy Sketches!

Shot this last Friday all on a Sony A9 handheld. It literally took just a few minutes to edit together. I have a few clients who are interested in these very shot comedy sketches as a means of promoting their businesses on social media. If you have the ability to be funny and have a good idea of what you are doing with a camera, this is a potential marketing goldmine for the sharing and laugh feels associated with marketing! More coming:

Do Full Frame Lenses Lose Sharpness on Crop Bodies?

A very hotly debated topic, here is my position!

Black Panther

For what it was, entertainment, I thought it was really, really good. Is it really a 98% as it says on Rotten Tomatoes (a nearly perfect score)? Not quite (its probably closer to an 85% which is still amazing) Is it worth seeing in theaters if you like the Comic Book hero type of flick? Absolutely!

There were very mild undertones of political statements near the end, but I didnt think it ruined the experience. Great acting, great visuals, great sets & costumes, great effects, excellent tension throughout- I really enjoyed it!

In that we are all problem solvers, I thought I'd share something I've learned the hard way in disasters with you all. I hope we can keep this in mind when making the world a better place. ✌️

Fro vs Tony - RAW vs JPEG - My Thoughts

Wanted to share a video I recorded way back in November 15, 2017 in Puerto Rico. I had literally no time to prepare or practice, it was shot on my iPhone 6 in a rental car between making food runs. We didnt have very good internet connection down there, so I am finally posting it now.

There is a growing trend in the Youtube Photography Community about intentionally misunderstanding others and nit picking them. Im really tired of it!

Secrets of A Super-Mom Entrepreneur – Angelina Hills Ribet – Episode #41

One of the most common excuses I hear about becoming an entrepreneur is "I don't have time", and as many of you know, few things are as time consuming as being a stay-at-home mom with 2 little ones. Angelina Hills was an extremely successful Maui wedding and portrait photographer right up until the birth of her first child, at which time she decided to make her children priority number one. Yet, she still wanted to continue to pursue her photographic, creative and business as secondary interests. I've always wondered how in the world does she do it? She's our first female entrepreneur on The Maven Nation!

Cloverfield Paradox

Im going to go out on a limb here because there really wasn't anything playing here that I wanted to see. Isn't that crazy? And I freaking LOVE movies.

Netflix is becoming my go to on Friday nights. Its fast & easy. Granted the selection isn't the greatest to stream right now, but I supplement that with DVD rentals of movies Ive never seen. Value wise, its the best $17 I spend each month on movies.

Netflix has really invested into their own titles and I was very skeptical about Cloverfield Paradox, but suffice it to say I enjoyed it. Gets you thinking!

Micro-Naps, Quasi Sleep & Speed Meditation – Episode #40

One of the most common questions I get about my deployment in Puerto Rico is in regards to how I was able to stay and work as long as I did, nearly 15 weeks. After about 5 weeks of non-stop work, I realized I could not sustain the pace any longer and had to come up with a way to regularly destress and rest on the fly. These are the tools I used, and I know they work. Try them out and let me know how they work for you!
