Sacramento Jazz Jubilee 2009

David and I just got home from the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee. What a great day, and special thanks to KVIE for the free tickets!!

This event is always a blast, and this year was no different. Taking place in the Old Sacramento “zone” (and additional activities over at the convention center this year), the Jazz music hits Sacramento with a vengeance. Vendors are spread across the landscape, music pours out from tents that blanket the parking lots and open spaces, and even the saloon in the Delta Kin

Ok, full disclosure, it’s not really a club. I mean we don’t have club meetings, and there are no dues, and we don’t have a club house up in a tree with a sign posted out front that says “No Phreeks Allowed”. Although, those things do sound pretty cool.

My fellow readers - I can’t express enough the importance of writing a review for a book you’ve purchased, especially a book from an independent author.

Independent authors survive on getting reviews of their work, ratings from avid readers, and constructive comments that will lead others to buy the book as well. Without the marketing engine of big publishers, we rely on YOU to help get the word out about our books.

I may have actually gone insane this week

Several years ago, 2005 to be specific, I wrote about my personality disorders.

Those have not changed, but I fear that this week I may have actually tipped the scale into actual insanity. I will of course deny this if asked about it (and I will claim that someone logged into my computer and posted this on my behalf).

American Idol 2009 - Finale

YEAH!!!!!

Ok, I’m not seriously jumping up and down after the finale show, and let me tell you why. Here’s the run down of the night…

The contestants each sang three songs: their choice from the season, producer Simon Fuller’s choice (who should be barred from ever choosing songs again), and the Idol single which this year was co-written by Kara (who should be barred from ever writing an AI song again).
