Normal pushups are hard enough!

I find it hard enough to do a normal push-up, much less going for the world record using only ONE finger.
Kung fu master Fu Bingli manages 12 push-ups on a single finger
By TOM PHILLIPS – Tuesday, October 20, 2009
A kung fu master has given his rivals the finger after breaking the world record for doing push-ups… with one finger.
Wow. This guy must be very popular with such a powerful finger. I'm just sayin'.

Is this a preview of Google Chrome OS?

I was reading some great info on omgubunto.co.uk and ran across a post about Google Chrome for Ubuntu. It looked interesting, and possibly a preview of what's to come in the new Google Chrome OS.
So I installed it and put together this little video for the Intel Retail Edge Program…
Check it out and see what you think…

Garlic Shrimp Stir-fry (Serves: 2)

[image error]Ingredients:
8 large tiger shrimp thawed (from India or Mexico preferred)
2T minced garlic
squeezing from one lemon
olive oil
The secret to this recipe is that you are going to cook the shrimp in two different ways – first steaming, then in a stir-fry.
Start by peeling the shrimp. Never EVER make your guests peel shrimp at the dinner table. Leave only the tail attached to the shrimp – this will make it easier to handle the product once cooked, but all legs and carapace must be removed...

Blustery Day – 13 October 2009

We're having one hell of a storm here in Sacramento, and this is just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. I'm sure there is a better storm analogy, but I'm dripping wet and cold so that's what you get – an iceberg.
Anyway – I just made this quick video…have a look…

750

You've come a long way baby!
I like to mark big moments in the blog history with a special post. Typically I center those moments around even numbers of posts – numbers like 100, 250, 500, and in today's case, 750. I don't know that 750 is some big momentous number in the grand scheme of numbers. I mean it's not like it's quadradrillion or something, but it's an even number and a multiple of 25 which somehow makes it worth of writing about.
So what does 750 mean to me? Let's ponder that for a m...

They won the wolrd record for pizza, not spelling

Yes. Congratulations to them (Romanian pizza makers) for having the longest line of pizza (over 1500 feet). I guess it's a great achievement for a bunch of people to make a bunch of pizzas and just lay them out on a bunch of tables.
Seriously. This is nowhere near the largest pizza in the world, which is actually ONE pizza that's gargantuan (50,000 slices large). This is just a bunch of normal pizzas made by normal people sitting on normal tables out in the middle of a normal food festival.
But...

An alarming trend in tattoos

SACRAMENTO, CA – For the past three months, Kit Harkins, owner and lead artist at Ink Me Up, has seen an alarming increase in operating expenses. "It's like watching the prices at the gas station. Ink costs have risen almost 200% in less than six months, even henna products are becoming costly."
Kit also says she's concerned by the growing number of temporary tattoo artists that have been opening shops around town. "These guys are taking my business because you could get enough temp tats to...
In case of zombie attack…

It's always good to be prepared – and the University of Florida is making sure officials are fully briefed on survival plans in case of a zombie apocalypse.
The school made a plan for responding to the rise of the undead available on its website, alongside more traditional outlines for dealing with hurricanes and pandemics.
