To Pre-order or not to Pre-order #amwriting
One of the big debates that always crops up in indie publishing and small press circles is whether or not to do pre-orders. There are a lot of pros to pre-ordering, and maybe a few cons IMO.
Pros:
Readers know what’s coming and when it’s coming. (Builds a more loyal following.)Ensures new readers can find upcoming books in a series.Automates the release process.Creates a definitive release schedule and deadlines for the authors .

Mid-Year Update
As many of you know, I started the year with a vigorous publishing schedule. I decided on a crazy schedule first, because I had a lot of projects I wanted to get out. Second, because I wanted to challenge myself and push my boundaries. Push I did. I started the year knowing I would have to complete 14 projects.
That ended up translating to: 5 novels (I’m counting TC Darkness as a short novel), 1 co-written novel, 6 novellas, and 1 NF book (private).

Impostor Syndrome – Reflections
For years I avoided going to and teaching at writer conferences because I didn’t think I was good enough and that me getting a contract with a publisher on my first novel was just dumb luck. Working Remotely: Tips from a Writer #remoteoffice #socialdistancing
