He was a cattle rustler turned con man, who was the leader of the Grayson County Five in Texas. Leach and four other inmates escaped the tiny jail in Sherman in 2001.
Pepper had diligently worked with private investigators, which helped flush her narratives with detailed excellence in her true crime books. She has protected her identity because there are people not too happy that she published this story, warning her to stop and hacking her computer, but she refused to give up. Her life and her family’s lives were even put in jeopardy. This only put more resolve into her to continue writing the truth of what happens.
